Back on 27 August, our lovely main vocal gave us another profile picture survival report update. Sometimes I wonder if he is missing us as much as we are missing him. Nevertheless, he has consistently given us quiet updates in the most secret of fashion – which I absolute LOVE! As he has completed six months of his military service, it seems he was entitled to a short leave or break. His 27 August profile pictures for his Twitter and Instagrams accounts seem to imply he may have been visiting his family in Gimhae.

Do you mind if we head over to the Retro Room for about half a minute? I think you will like it. It is always nice (at least for me it is) when G.O flips through the pages of his cover song notebook, chooses a popular western ballad from the 1970’s, and even if he only shares a line or two of song, we still get to hear the sweet sounds of his beautiful voice. When this happens, it invariably fans the flames of my OG (that’s ‘old girl’) heart and ignites feels, emotions and a further sense of wonderment over the how and why these tender retro ballads resonate so deeply with G.O.

The G.O Love Forum

While I am unable to actually have a live interactive forum here on The Fangirl Adventure Log, I was still able to create an independent one where we can meet, chat and fangirl. As I am very new to forums, it is still undergoing some construction so expect some bumps in the road as I figure it all out! But as of now, it seems to be up and running! Please note that currently (if I have it configured correctly), there is no need to register to interact on the forum, although you are encouraged to do so; however, you may access the forum as a guest and hopefully post freely.

My only request is that you keep in mind it is a place to play nice and love on G.O. If you have some negative agenda towards G.O or M3LAQ, then it is probably not the place for you!

G.O in a hanbok. Is there anything this man wears that does not look good? I will admit that I will always choose a fine tailored suit or jeans paired with a t-shirt for G.O to wear before he slips into a hanbok. However, I am not going to deny how absolutely charming he looks wearing the traditional Joseon period formal wear.

I cannot believe it took almost 200 days before I decided to write about G.O’s first solo single, 내꿈에 서라도 [Even In My Dreams], the tender and romantic ballad he wrote and composed that was released in July 2011. In that I always want to celebrate G.O’s music as well as his writing and composing skills, I am surprised I waited this long! Well, it is a Sunday and so it goes that something light and romantic should be the main course of the day.

The beauty of deciding to let G.O pretty much commandeer my blog for the length of his military service (and I suspect well beyond), is that I have had the pleasure of connecting with many of his dedicated and long-time fans. Debut fans are a wealth of knowledge which have been a godsend to me in that their MBLAQ-lopedic minds continue to introduce and re-introduce G.O to me as if I am meeting him for the very first time, over and over. It’s the best kind of Groundhog’s Day!!

The Soulful Countdown to G.O’s Discharge ~ Day 190

It has been awhile since I raided the Hello Baby archives for a post so I decided to choose a random episode to have some fun with on this 190th (OMG….!) day of G.O’s service. I chose Episode 7 which as you may recall, was the episode wherein the MBLAQ appas decided they needed a mother for the children. This ep introduced five potential mommy candidates who, according to the appas, needed to possess four very important traits in order to be considered for the position (G.O offering the first two…lol!): 1. Beauty. 2. Beauty. 3. Wealth. 4. Some childcare knowledge. *smh* <~~~~ And vigorously so!! <hehe>
