Sometimes I hesitate to write about the mid to latter part of 2014. For me personally, the first half was extremely special and I always seem to want to go back and relive those exciting days of seeing and hearing G.O for the first time. But as the year moved on, things got a little difficult and yes, even sad. Still, there was so much G.O (and MBLAQ) to enjoy in 2014. There was the release of the Japanese single, Still In Love, the Broken comeback and of course the magnificence of watching G.O settle into being a formidable musical theater actor on both the Seopyeonje and Kingdom of the Winds stages. The men also traveled quite a bit in the summer months of that year which is fortunate for when I want to share some of G.O’s Airport Style. Today, just a quick and simple look back at G.O’s Incheon style on 6 June 2014, when he and guys departed for Mexico to begin a mini Latin American tour. I sometimes try to imagine what this countdown series would have been like had I only filled it with Vocal Virtuosity moments. Then again, every song, video or the like shared here throughout this entire countdown has actually been that kind of moment. Early on in one of the blog posts here, I labeled G.O a virtuoso at his craft. And initially when the word synced up in my mind to describe G.O, it was because of his music. But as it turns out, a virtuoso can also be someone who is skilled in any artistic pursuit. And although music may be the auto default for G.O (for good reason), I think it can apply to him across many of his artistic endeavors. For the purpose of this countdown series however, I chose to single out his virtuosity as a vocalist. Today I want to fall into G.O’s incredibly smooth and sensual vocal stylings as captured in the opening track of Ty Project No. 1, Intro, because it is exactly what some of us can use right now to soothe our souls, and heat up these cold winter days.

Well it is Saturday my lovelies and we are closing in on the 700th day of G.O’s service. Can you believe it? Let’s just everyone breathe for a few seconds, okay? I am trying to keep a lid on my own excitement, but it is growing next to impossible. And it will continue to be impossible to contain it as we get closer to the actual discharge date. Therefore, I will simply embrace it and will do so by keeping the energy flowing with another G.O Dance Break moment. It is a Saturday after all! So hop into the MBLAQ time machine with me and let’s travel back to Episode 6 of Idol Army.

I think it is a good day to go wild, don’t you? 2012 was one very bountiful year. So much MBLAQ goodness including the sub-unit collaboration of G.O and Mir. Usually prone to high jinks and mischief, our wild pair traded in their playful images with some in-you-face swag during the Blaq% Asia Tour that year with their provocative single, Wild and it is my choice for this Fan-Camming Friday day.

Allow me to let you in on a little secret about this series that is really not important, but I wanted to share because with all of the recent activity that has been going on this past week and a half regarding news of G.O dating, I have not written about it other than to post his update confirming it. Frankly, I was over the moon excited about the news. Subsequent to that news breaking, (as many of you know) there has been much too much inappropriate backlash directed towards G.O for the way in which it was announced and his response thereafter. I have not timely addressed all of this (nor will I beyond what I write here) because I have, since the beginning of this series, prepared many of the posts in advance (that’s my secret..shhhh). I have even had up to 14 future posts pending at one time. I have worked this way to help keep daily posts coming. Often when G.O would update his SNS, I would scramble and move posts around to accommodate those updates. I share this because for the remaining 37 days of his service (and for this countdown), I decided to no longer do that and just keep it very simple here.

My fan art choice today comes from a US artist who goes by the name NamiiChan. Yay! She started out just drawing manga but eventually moved to digital painting. ABCs of G.O V is for Virile

I know it is my extreme bias talking here but if we take a moment to discuss who is likely the most virile member in MBLAQ, G.O definitely holds the title. I mean, you have to agree to some extent that his virility was soundly in place perhaps even prior to his debut with MBLAQ. Am I right? I think maybe G.O was simply born virile. Hence, it is the perfect adjective to describe him as we further our way through the ABC’s of G.O here on the countdown.

I know that when it comes to 낙서 [Scribble], G.O does not have very much vocal time. In fact, he barely has any and often shares vocal time in the song with Seungho. But what he does for the song is give it richness. His voice is the seasoning that flavors and enhances the emotion of the song. In the moments we do get to hear the honey of G.O’s voice, we are once again reminded of his virtuosity and that is why I will always place 낙서 [Scribble] among all other Vocal Virtuosity moments here on the countdown.

The Soulful Countdown to G.O’s Discharge ~ Day 690

If he captures you in his gaze, you can rest assured there will be no defense adequate enough to fight and/or escape the magnetic pull of the charismatic aura that oozes from and surrounds G.O. The early captures from fans A Lucky Day  and Letsgoinho are a true testament to this fact. Each could teach a course on how to weather the G.O gaze as they certainly have been caught in the direct line of his fiery stare, all to my absolute delight. For when G.O locks upon a camera’s lens, the photographer becomes a conduit for the fans who then get to experience what it feels like to lock eyes with him. It has been a while since I had a Windows To Your Soul ~ The G.O Eye Connect post on the countdown, so I am ready for the challenge. And, the steady cam of letsgoinho combined with the raw intensity of 전쟁이야 [This Is War] from the 17 January 2012 Beautiful Concert is the perfect choice for the 690th day of G.O’s service.

Sometimes I  like to explore the folder on my computer under G.O pics that is marked ‘Special’ and see what I find. This is a file I created a couple years ago now that has became a treasure chest of pictures I would come across that I thought were particularly special. What I discovered is that there are many sides to G.O’s special when it comes to photos I like. They run the gamut from cute, adorable, dorky, intense, to full on sexy. Today is a full on sexy special.
