It’s time for a little Day In The Life with Donghun. Today, I will take a clip from his May 19, 2019 Vlog when he spent some time with Wow. It is the little bits of conversation and comments that make these vlogs so incredibly enjoyable to me. I don’t know if it is intentional for Donghun, and the rest of A.C.E for that matter, to show us how relatable they really are and that, even though they are artists and idols, their day to day lives (when not idol-ing) are really no different than yours or mine. I mean . . . Donghun takes a subway train to meet up with Wow. You cannot get more relatable than that, right? Come check out the clip, it’s really chill and cute.

I don’t know about you, but I absolutely love coming across moments of my fave artists buried in pre-debut archives. Many of our fave artists have spent a lot more time working their way to stardom that we probably will ever know. If you have been following along this journey thus far, you will have discovered that pre-debut Donghun survived two music competition shows and in the coming days, we may even look at some of his early variety show appearances. But did you know he landed in a fifteen second CF (commercial film) for Korea’s ABC Mart? Neither did I!!! And it is this little pre-debut nugget I share today.

Waiting For Donghun ~ Day 84

This is not the first time we are going to see a focused cam of Mr. Lee performing Slow Dive among the many offerings of Hunnie Cam posts here on the countdown and it definitely will not be the last. For today, I believe it is number two, not that I am going to keep any steady count, but I just wanted to mention that some songs will definitely make their way into this countdown multiple times, in multiple forms. If a fan frequented many fan signs within a given comeback, it stands to reason there will be a variety of cams of the same songs. The beauty though is that no two performances are alike. And besides, Slow Dive is one of my all time A.C.E favorites so naturally it will worm it’s way into many a posts! Okay, I am still in my Donghun nature boy mood. Not necessarily melancholic, but a bit of being absorbed in an introspective mood. The kind of mood that creates long, drawn out, relaxing sighs. Like Juliet on the balcony musing over the cute boy who snuck into the Capulet’s soiree, stole a kiss and with it, her heart. Yeah, that kind of mood. Some may say it is romantic in nature, but I think I am just feeling sentimental. And as I did go as far as once saying Siren:Dawn era Donghun gave me Romeo feels, I am going to expound on that here with my designated DH One Shot and call this one, Jeju Romeo. Honestly, I think it is his long silver-lavender hair.

It is a full serving of energy wrapped in joy and the guys always look like they are having so much fun when they perform it. So for today’s Busking Files selection, we travel to the manmade Sebitseom Islets in Seoul’s mighty Han River.

Waiting For Donghun ~ Day 80

Is it really Day 80?!! Amazing, right? It is such an odd internal fight I have with myself, this march of time. On one hand, I wish time would move a little more slowly and I think when one arrives into middle age, that is the general consensus. Getting older at a rapid pace is not fun. However, when it comes to waiting for special days and events, the childlike wonder in us all wishes for time to pass quickly. Like a birthday, or Christmas and yes, a military discharge. You catch my drift. For this Day 80 of Donghun’s service, we get a selca magic moment capturing three of my favorite things: Donghun, his smile and the moon.

There is something really sweet about the fan art I am going to share for this DH Fan-Artastic day. Back in 2017, French artist, YuiKubi was just 14 years old when she joined the Amino Apps community and posted her first piece of fan art. That fan art was of Donghun. She is an original Choice as she posted her piece on July 17, 2017 which was two short months after A.C.E debuted.

Waiting For Donghun ~ Day 78

Okay, I am throwing in the white towel on Donghun’s Instagram updates. They are simply too frequent for me to keep up with while I try to keep a writing schedule to stay ahead in order to secure future posts. It is a daunting task to keep a schedule when 638 days need to be accounted for. And well, Donghun is just too unpredictable. I love it, and I love that he is staying in steady contact. But because I map out these countdown posts a good month in advance and write them, it is just too much of a juggle for me to be constantly moving posts around to accommodate his surprise attacks!! So, going forward, I decided to share updates sporadically. If you follow Donghun on his Instagram account (bldhue), then any update shared here would actually be redundant! But, before I move to that sporadic mode, I will share his update from the wee hours of this Thursday, December 9th morning because I have to admit, it kind of hit me in the feels.
