Waiting For Donghun ~ Celebrating 200 Days! (Day 200)

Back on May 17, 2019, A.C.E released their EP, Under Cover. It must have been serendipity, destiny or fate as that’s my birthday, and it was the Under Cover tour that same year that roped me in and created a new Choice. We were meant to be, right? Anyway, the entire Under Cover EP is awesome but it has two of my all time favorite A.C.E B-sides, If You Heard and Mr. Bass. Mr. Bass is the subject of my Hunnie Cam offering today in celebration of 200 days served! Yay! Donghun in a suit, dancing to the funky Mr. Bass is really all a girl could ever need to celebrate this milestone. So, let’s hop in the A.C.E time machine and head to the International Youth Center fan sign event on June 1, 2019.

Waiting For Donghun ~ Happy Birthday Donghun! (Day 159)

All milestones along this countdown journey are important but none are more than a birthday!! On this Day 159 of Waiting For Donghun, we celebrate one of two birthdays Donghun will have during the course of his service. I do not think it will thwart celebrations, to be honest, but I will definitely miss the midnight VLive group celebrations that often come with an A.C.E member birthday. For this stop along the way, I want to share a celebratory DH Fan-Artastic work from Italian artist, Erika, who partnered with A.C.E Global back in 2018 to create a banner for Donghun’s birthday. Even though it celebrates a past birthday, it is a delightful art piece all the same.

Waiting For Donghun ~ Celebrating Under 500 Days!

Well, well, well, another milestone achieved and I missed posting it on the actual day . . . my bad!! 😞 Hopefully this faux pas is forgiven. That said, Donghun officially has under 500 days remaining in his service. Yay!! Let’s celebrate with a DH Dance Break, shall we? Okay . . . how about we do it with A.C.E’s last comeback, the energetic Changer? Sounds good to me! So buoyant and fun, Changer is the perfect mood for any celebration!

Waiting For Donghun ~ Happy Lunar New Year! (Day 132)

Welcome to the Year of the Water Tiger and Donghun’s 132nd day of service!! I say this with much excitement and pride as I was born in the year of the Water Tiger. I take my Lunar sign very seriously for being born in the year of the Tiger feels rather auspicious, doesn’t it? The tiger is such a symbolic, majestic and powerful animal. I think those born under any one of the other eleven signs may feel similarly for each animal in the myth of lunar astrology fought for its revered place. What then can we expect in the Year of the Water Tiger, especially for our beloved Rooster above?

Waiting For Donghun ~ Happy New Year! (Day 101)

Happy New Year!! It is 2022 ~ can you believe it?! The start of a new year is indeed special. New beginnings with new goals, new hopes and new dreams. And for those of counting down the days to a military discharge, well, the ushering in of a new year means we are that much closer to having our favorite artists who are currently serving return to their adoring fans.

Wishing everyone a safe, healthy and prosperous New Year filled with happiness each and every day!

Waiting For Donghun ~ Day 100

Woo hoo!!!! On this, the final day of 2021, we get to celebrate a couple of things. First, the end of a rough and tumble year, to be sure. The end also marks a new beginning. Let’s hope for a better, brighter, happier and healthier new year. Next, it is also maknae Chan’s birthday – yes, that cheeky Chan is a New Year’s Eve baby. And finally . . . Donghun completes 100 days of his mandatory military service! Did the first hundred fly by for you? Well, hang in there Choice . . . in just 112 short days, Donghun will have completed one third of his service. Glass half full, folks ~ glass half full!

Waiting For Donghun ~ Day 99

Are you ready for something a little dramatic? Everything about the Siren:Dawn era felt dramatic, the bulk of which were the tantalizing teasers. I found myself hitting that ‘Save Photo’ button more times than I care to admit. The upside to that is that I have amassed a robust collection of potential DH One Shots to share along this countdown journey. Today another hypnotic offering of our main vocal siren. It is dramatic and visually spectacular which kind of comes part and parcel with Donghun.

Waiting For Donghun ~ Day 98

Okay, first let me collect myself over seeing Donghun in Paris. One of my favorite vocalists in one of my favorite cities. That’s a double bonus! Ok, now that that is out of the way, time to get Day 98 on the books as perhaps one of the more frivolous posts you will see during this countdown. But, I thought it a decent subject to broach even if it is outside of the Donghun’s vocalist realm. It is not, however, out of his fashion and style realm. There was a time when Donghun was updating A.C.E social media accounts with what he called Daily Dong Dong and it was basically him sharing his OOTD (Outfit Of The Day). So cute! Honing one’s fashion sense as a celebrity comes part and parcel with the job and Donghun understands the assignment. For this Dong Dong fashion sense post, I am going to focus on hats and headwear. Be it beanie or beret, bucket or baseball, Donghun wears them all well.

I don’t think we have had an occasion to discuss the opening track of A.C.E’s HJZM:The Butterfly Phantasy yet, have we? Well, I guess this DH Dance Break is as good time as any to talk about the bombastic and tantalizing Golden Goose. It’s one of those songs that slaps you around in a good way and the choreography, menacingly sexy.

Waiting For Donghun ~ Day 96

I must be in a whimsical and romantic mood because I felt like a boyfriend vibe DH selca for today. Inasmuch as many DH selcas can safely fall into that category, I am trying to create as an eclectic blend as possible. You know, the deadly selcas, the playful selcas, the introspective selcas, etc. Those can all serve as sub-categories of the BF selca to be sure, but there are definitely those captures that feel more boyfriend than others. Such is the case today with our sweet main vocal who may have been caught in the rain or even some blistering sun. Either way, would you care to share his umbrella?
