I have always believed that G.O was (and still is) a consummate student of music. Ever learning and perfecting his own art, I have to guess that his music collection is more vast and wide than the oceans between us. Indeed he is extremely well-versed in music and has covered the songs of many music legends, east and west. As many of you know, there were often those times when during a variety show or in-studio radio show appearance, he was asked to sing and I have to believe there were times he was prepared to do so. But there were times when he most likely was not and was asked to sing off-the-cuff as it were. Live. At that moment. During the broadcast. I think the SBS Ten Ten Club broadcast of 15 July 2010 was one of those off-the-cuff moments when he regaled the audience with a few lines from DBSK’s 주문 [Mirotic].

TVXQ Tuesday: 믿어요 (Believe)
Tri-Angle was TVXQ’s first Korean studio album and Believe the first cut from that album. Believe is a gentle and tender love song. And…..Junsu opens it, and opens it so sweetly. The song was not released as a single, yet it still seems to be a fan fave when performed on various Korean music programs. It has, I dare say, the absolute perfect pauses to usher in those amazing fanchants. KIM JUN SU!!! ^^
TVXQ Tuesday: Try My Love
As I slowly make my way through the vast discography of these five men, I notice one thing for sure. They were never bound by one certain genre of music. They have given us so many different versions of themselves and I so appreciate their openness to lacing various genres of music into their catalog. Admittedly, I love the ballads. But, having Junsu as my bias here and my amazing OTB (one true bias) G.O with MBLAQ, you have to know that I have a special weakness for soulful R&B. Try My Love is just that.
A New Beginning – The Fangirl Adventure Log
On May 19, 2014 I will have been here occupying this space in the blogosphere for one year having decided to create a homage to the lovely male stars in both the Korean drama and Korean pop worlds. All total I featured a big whopping 5 ‘shots.’ Not much of an accomplishment, however, they were all worthy of having a spot in this weak homage! I can say with honesty I loved on each of them very much and can only hope I did them some (a little) justice.
TVXQ Tuesday: Holding Back The Tears
Since I have been focusing specifically on their music for these posts, I did not realize that the men of TVXQ filmed and released a drama back in 2006 called Vacation. See, you learn something new every day. And as I am still making my way through ALL of their music as a 5-man group, I rely on discography lists to assist me. This is how I found the gorgeous Holding Back The Tears.
TVXQ Tuesday: You Only Love
Ok, I admit that was a bit of a long hiatus from my TVXQ Tuesdays. I also admit to being derailed by MBLAQ’s comeback and G.O being cast in not one, but two musicals. And, well, going to Seoul and seeing G.O. I’ve been a little preoccupied, to say the least. But, I am returning now with a lovely ballad from TVXQ’s third Korean studio album, O-Jung.Ban.Hap.
TVXQ Tuesday: Ride On
This one is so infectious and funky! I LOVE THESE GUYS!!! And they seriously break it down and dance the crap out of this one. Sorry….I am just a little excited. When I see Junsu grooving like this coupled with that spectacular voice I tend to get carried away. That little growl or whatever you want to call it that he emits around the 1:14 mark just sets the tone for me and prepares me (somewhat) for the hip thrust he throws at us around the 1:31 mark. Seriously Junsu we are just barely over a minute into the song and you do THAT to us?!
TVXQ Tuesday (er..uh Wednesday): Heart, Mind and Soul
Oops….I am a day late, but that’s no matter as I am going to deliver up a sweet, smooth and delicious ballad – a specialty of our five fabulous men with the golden voices. Heart, Mind and Soul, a song from their first Japanese studio album of the same name, is the kind of song you want to slow dance to while gazing into the eyes of your beloved.
TVXQ Tuesday: Last Angel ft. Koda Kumi
OMG…this collab is DAEBAK!! Not only is R&B/urban songstress Koda Kumi a cute little pixie, she has a voice that compliments each one of our fab fine men perfectly in this is energetic and infectious rocking dance number off of T, TVXQ’s third Japanese studio album.
TVXQ Tuesday: Paradise
Turn the lights down low, grab your boo, snuggle in close, and let’s sink into this slow, seductive groove, shall we?
