OMG…this collab is DAEBAK!! Not only is R&B/urban songstress Koda Kumi a cute little pixie, she has a voice that compliments each one of our fab fine men perfectly in this is energetic and infectious rocking dance number off of T, TVXQ’s third Japanese studio album.
I am going to put it out into the universe right now that I want Junsu and Koda Kumi to pair up together and record something. Ok, Changmin can come along too. Oh forget it – I want Koda Kumi to reunite the lot of them and just get them all back on the stage together again. I love this collaboration!!
Part rock, part dance, with inflections of even some hip hop, this song has a great sound and I couldn’t help but groove along. Watching Koda Kumi interact with each of the guys individually and collectively was great because they seem to have such natural chemistry. Their voices certainly do.
When the boys throw us those harmonies they just strengthen the song all that much more for me. And yes, I alluded to it already once, but I love the way she sounds opposite Junsu and Changmin because the tone of her voice is akin to Yoochun, Yunho and Jae’s so when she paired off vocally with each of them, I was screaming at my laptop…YES!! Maybe I had a long day at the office and this was just the pick me up I needed. You have to admit though, she sounds pretty good with all of them. And they look good with her.
I always thought that the boys were pretty tall but they just tower over her and make her 5 foot one inch frame look all that much more diminutive. Still, she’s a little spitfire who can hold her own matching note for note and move for move with the guys. When she has that little dance groove moment with Junsu at about the 0:56 mark, I admit to being somewhat jealous. I mean, up until this point, I have only seen the guys dancing with each other.
Love Jae’s rock ‘n roll hair. And how badass do Yunho and Yoochun look?? What about the maknae??!
Of course, there is my Junsu.♥
This is a pretty solid song vocally and very catchy musically. Furthermore, it seems as if this was a collaboration that was enjoyed by all.
hello Michele dear?…how are you?…….tbh, this is the first time i heard and saw this cut from TVXQ i love some Jap-songs they recorded but surely i’d missed this one and thanks for sharing it here….i love the collaboration of the Japanese girl, she’s cute but has a great voice ….and man!…i love their costumes…especially with Yunho…<3
Hi Evez!! This just rocked I think and omg, towards the end when Yoochun gets all funky with his dance next to Koda Kumi – I was screaming!!! I happen to be of the school of thought that Yoochun has this lovely quiet sensuality about him. He was letting the sensual come out to play there in the last few moments of this one….woah!!
And don’t get me started on Junsu. Dear lord. If she and Jun collabed on something it would be off the chart. When they sing together in this one it just works. It really works!!! She’s lucky I like her or I would have wanted to pull her hair out for getting to dance as well as stand next to Junsu! Bwaaahahaha! I am just joking. I have no ill will towards Koda Kumi! ^^
Let’s face it, TVXQ could sing with a group of tone deaf garbage men (I have nothing against tone deaf garbage men, by the way…heheheh) and it would be good. They are just THAT good, TVXQ that is, not the garbage men. You know what I mean!!!!
I love them and continue to call out to the K-pop gods above to reunite them. Maybe after MS. How cool would that be? Dare to dream, Michele…dare.to.dream!
I hope you are doing well my dear! All is well on this end. I am heading to Seoul next month to go see Mr. Byung Hee on the stage in his musical. Cannot wait!
