It’s time for another DH One Shot. Whew . . . these sneak up on me so quickly! I guess that means time is moving faster than I imagine which of course is a good thing. I am actually rather excited about hitting the hundred day mark and it would have been so perfect if it landed on Christmas Day, but as it turns out, Day 100 will actually land on New Year’s Eve – what a way to say good-bye to 2021 and ring in a new year, don’t you think? Waiting For Donghun ~ Day 90

I know that I cannot be the only one charmed endlessly by Donghun’s ASMR videos. I have shared a couple thus far and have another gem to drop here on this 90th day of his service. Ninety days — we will soon hit one hundred. Seems like a crawl to get there, but we will make it. Back in April 2020, the official A.C.E YouTube account posted a DH TV (one of my fave networks, by the way) video of a simple talk/conversation themed ASMR session with Mr. Lee. No eating, drinking, or outrageous sounds with this one. Just the calm gentle sounds of Donghun’s voice as he shares his thoughts about everything from songwriting to insomnia.

Waiting For Donghun ~ Day 89

When A.C.E debuted in February 2017, they did so with a single. That single was Cactus. They followed Cactus up with another single in October 2017, Callin’. My point here is that they did not release a full album until the following year, June 7, 2018 to be exact. So when it came to live stage performances, the group often included many covers in their sets. Today a Vocal Magic moment taken from a Sofar Sounds live performance in May 2017. I am sure it will come as no surprise that in preparation for this countdown series, I am often writing posts well in advance of their publish date. It’s collateral. I need to have a few in the draft bank as it were. So, it should come as no surprise that I wrote this particular DH Selca Magic post some time back in November. When I came across the picture I wanted to share, I jokingly told myself, ‘Ahhh, this picture is easy like a Sunday morning ~ wouldn’t it be great if Day 88 turned out to be a Sunday?‘ And here we are on Day 88 and a Sunday it is! Waiting For Donghun ~ Day 87

It’s time for a little Day In The Life with Donghun. Today, I will take a clip from his May 19, 2019 Vlog when he spent some time with Wow. It is the little bits of conversation and comments that make these vlogs so incredibly enjoyable to me. I don’t know if it is intentional for Donghun, and the rest of A.C.E for that matter, to show us how relatable they really are and that, even though they are artists and idols, their day to day lives (when not idol-ing) are really no different than yours or mine. I mean . . . Donghun takes a subway train to meet up with Wow. You cannot get more relatable than that, right? Come check out the clip, it’s really chill and cute.

I don’t know about you, but I absolutely love coming across moments of my fave artists buried in pre-debut archives. Many of our fave artists have spent a lot more time working their way to stardom that we probably will ever know. If you have been following along this journey thus far, you will have discovered that pre-debut Donghun survived two music competition shows and in the coming days, we may even look at some of his early variety show appearances. But did you know he landed in a fifteen second CF (commercial film) for Korea’s ABC Mart? Neither did I!!! And it is this little pre-debut nugget I share today.

Waiting For Donghun ~ Day 84

This is not the first time we are going to see a focused cam of Mr. Lee performing Slow Dive among the many offerings of Hunnie Cam posts here on the countdown and it definitely will not be the last. For today, I believe it is number two, not that I am going to keep any steady count, but I just wanted to mention that some songs will definitely make their way into this countdown multiple times, in multiple forms. If a fan frequented many fan signs within a given comeback, it stands to reason there will be a variety of cams of the same songs. The beauty though is that no two performances are alike. And besides, Slow Dive is one of my all time A.C.E favorites so naturally it will worm it’s way into many a posts! Waiting For Donghun ~ Day 83

Okay, I am still in my Donghun nature boy mood. Not necessarily melancholic, but a bit of being absorbed in an introspective mood. The kind of mood that creates long, drawn out, relaxing sighs. Like Juliet on the balcony musing over the cute boy who snuck into the Capulet’s soiree, stole a kiss and with it, her heart. Yeah, that kind of mood. Some may say it is romantic in nature, but I think I am just feeling sentimental. And as I did go as far as once saying Siren:Dawn era Donghun gave me Romeo feels, I am going to expound on that here with my designated DH One Shot and call this one, Jeju Romeo. Honestly, I think it is his long silver-lavender hair.
