Some of you may know this about me but in the world outside of my dedicated fangirl duties, I have been for some time and currently am an executive legal secretary in a law firm. So the notion of G.O participating in a variety program that placed him in a position of novice attorney is something I could absolutely appreciate. I have been around brilliant minds and venture to say that had he pursued a career in law, G.O would probably have made a formidable attorney. Attorneys are generally very quick thinkers and are persuasive. I would say G.O has those covered.^^ I must confess however that I have never had the privilege of working along side an attorney that has had his kind of charisma. Furthermore, I have yet to see an attorney light up a courtroom with the kind of hip groove G.O gave viewers during his stint on the MBC legal variety program, 연애 위자료 청구사건 [Dating Alimony Case]. For today then, a playful moment from the courtroom which also doubles as a G.O ~ Juri moment since, well they were both on the show and briefly shared the spotlight together.

We have arrived at the letter S of The ABC’s of G.O. And yes, I am going there. Initially, I told myself, ‘no, you are not going to make it simple and state the obvious: S is for Sexy,’ as I have spent many blog posts stating such and quite frankly, it would be redundant. But I have issued all kinds of redundancy during this countdown series as well as throughout the blog overall when it comes to my ability to excessively (and with good reason) compliment G.O. Furthermore, I have shown no desire to curb or control it. I call that fangirl license. So in the spirit of fangirl license, I take the easy route today with Sexy as my choice of adjective to describe the ever-alluring Jung Byung Hee.

So often we see G.O in black that it is rather refreshing when he does slip into a crisp white tee which lends to brightening up the atmosphere, including the security corridors at Gimpo Airport. There is simply no denying that No Love is one of MBLAQ’s quintessential pop songs. It bursts with energy, melody and yes, sweetness. Of course, this is a group effort, but when you break it down and look at it, the bulk of the vocals were actually handled by G.O, Seungho and Mir. When the angelic voice of G.O holds some vocal weight in a song, that automatically pushes it into Vocal Virtuosity territory. Inasmuch as the studio version is pure perfection, G.O’s remarkable vocals in Nagoya during MBLAQ’s Zepp Sensation Tour in August 2013, showcased the absolute clarity, strength, control of his voice as well as the undeniable command he brings to the stage.

Ok, so Dress Up . . . I think we need to have ourselves a short visit with the provocative song and performance for today’s installment of Fan-Camming Friday.  I will concur that the whole of MBLAQ were outrageously sexy during all performances of this song: anytime, anywhere. But, because the hearts in my eyes flash the word G.O, you know I will always declare him the sexiest. At the Seoul Sensation Tour show on 23 November 2013, I found G.O to not only be in perfect vocal form, he was also the epitome of nonchalant sexy. You know, the kind of sexy that sneaks up on you, and is magnanimously seductive. The best part is that he does it without even trying.

If my memory serves me correctly, during one of his chat sessions earlier this year, G.O mentioned the song My Dream, commenting on how it is a really good song. I concur. It is one of MBLAQ’s ballads where we got hear very early on the wonderful flavor, layers and versatility in G.O’s voice. In the course of these past 644 days, I have written about this song a couple times. It is because I really like it. So please humor me one more time because I dug up another early performance that serves well for a Wednesday (or any day), especially when I want to open the treasure chest of Vocal Virtuosity moments here on the Countdown. There are literally dozens of words beginning with the letter R that could describe, suit and complement G.O for this installment of The ABC’s of G.O. The first that comes to mind is romantic. I have no reference to confirm he is, but G.O has intimated things in past interviews that would suggest he is a bit of a romantic. Likewise, the way in which he interprets love ballads would also support my belief. I know ‘romantic’ is an easy go to and G.O may even appreciate being described so. But I think there is a word that rings even more true about him. That word is resilient.

Wow, I had not realized that for a good four months both G.O and Joon held a steady MC gig on MNET’s M Countdown back in 2010. I recall them doing it, but did not realize it was that long. I have to admit that my M Countdown watching days started with Broken so, yeah, I was completely unaware that in addition to performing on the show, they also occasionally MC-ed it as well. On 25 March, G.O was on MC duty and masternim A Lucky Day happened to be in attendance and captured a series of lovely photographs of the magnificent and gregarious MC.

For my One Shot today, a little bit of the art and poetry of Mona Lisa. It is no matter that Mona Lisa is now over six years old. I never tire of listening to it, in either of its Korean or Japanese incarnations. It is one of those early MBLAQ songs that has held up year after year and is as equally provocative visually as it is vocally. I also never tire of watching performance after performance of the song. Usually with One Shots I alternate between picture and .gif. Today, I felt like both.
