The Soulful Countdown to G.O’s Discharge ~ Day 383

It is difficult getting back into the groove and routine of my every day life since returning from Seoul. Keeping up with my countdown posts however seems to be flowing ok. At least one thing is staying consistent. For some reason (probably because I have the heart of a five-year old child), I am really looking forward to hitting Day 400. Milestones. You know how I feel about those.~^^ Even though there will be over 300 days remaining at that point, I still find myself full of excitement as we get closer to discharge. Likewise, every moment I get to sit down and write about this amazing young man makes me happy. Today (as you can see) is a One Shot day. It is also time for a one shot .gif. Lately, I have been longing for Mirror ~ the song, performances, just anything Mirror-related. To quench a little bit of that thirst, I will share a few short G.O .gifs from one of the many performances of MBLAQ’s exquisite and haunting title song.

The Soulful Countdown to G.O’s Discharge ~ Day 382

There certainly was something special in the air this past (and very fine) February of 2017. Maybe the simple fact that G.O was completing his first full year of military service prompted the barrage of selca updates he shared with us via his Instagram account, each one more beautiful and alluring than the next. He capped off his…well, I am just going to call them the Boyfriend Series Selcas with a sultry come-hither pose on 17 February, and truly set some hearts ablaze.

The Soulful Countdown to G.O’s Discharge ~ Day 381

Inasmuch as MBLAQ’s 12 February 2012 Inkigayo performance of 전쟁이야 [This Is War] was in fact a good-bye stage and the song serious and intense, it still did not deter G.O from some playful stage antics in any event. It is a well-established fact that I find G.O’s quiet and simmering sex appeal outrageously attractive. What makes him even more disarming is the fact that his brand of sexy is twofold. Yes, it’s true. Whether he is caught up in the passionate emotion of a song or in the throes of complete mischief, the man is the very definition of attractive and sexy. For today, I am choosing a Playful G.O moment that confirms that even at his mischievous and playful best, G.O is simply irresistible.

The Soulful Countdown to G.O’s Discharge ~ Day 379

It is Thursday and my first full day back to reality after a recent trip to Seoul which I find to always be magical even if I am there for no particular reason. Well, truth be told, I actually planned to be there for a couple of reasons. First, I thought Seung Ho would perform through the end of February in his musical Sabita; and second, I kind of wanted to be there to commemorate G.O completing one year of his military service.  I accomplished one so for that my trip was successful! Whenever I leave Seoul, I feel nostalgic. For this 379th day of G.O’s service then, a little Throwback Thursday as I travel way back to May 2010 when MBLAQ hit the stage in Changwon (G.O’s birthplace) for the Miss Korea 2010 Pageant to share some photographic moments captured of our charismatic main vocal.

The Soulful Countdown to G.O’s Discharge ~ Day 378

I am sure all A+ can agree that MBLAQ’s gentle pop song homage to their fans, You’re My + is one of their best, and for various reasons. For me, it is one of those MBLAQ songs where I can hear an audible smile, as it were, in G.O’s voice while he sings. Moreover, in this song, G.O gets plenty of sing time and when that happens, I always rank it among my favorite group songs. You’re My + is a good choice then to place it firmly in the Vocal Virtuosity category. Yes. And even though I am certain they have performed the song live often, I am choosing a particularly poignant live performance to showcase it: the first stage as a trio at Omiya back in June 2015.

The Soulful Countdown to G.O’s Discharge ~ Day 377

I admit to preferring to see G.O’s handsome face unobstructed by a face mask but know that his health will always trump style. He also may wear one to…hmmm to maybe maintain some privacy when out and about. That said, I happen to think he still brings an entirely new level of sexy to face mask wear, specifically because he possesses truly expressive eyes. My G.O One Shot today then is a capture of our mysterious main vocal, masked.

The Soulful Countdown to G.O’s Discharge ~ Day 376

I think it is true that many of G.O’s most playful moments probably happen during fan meetings and fan signs. I know that G.O has shown us playful moments during variety programs, and even in the closing moments on the concert stage where often times a sort of playful chaos and mayhem break out. But the fan signs . . . well, they breed a special kind of playful.

The Soulful Countdown to G.O’s Discharge ~ Day 375

Although I have not given them their just due here during this Countdown series, it is no secret that G.O possesses perhaps one of the loveliest pair of hands bestowed upon a human….ever. There has been much documentation about his very elegant and graceful hands. I may be in a groove with this series with its plethora of sub-categories already in place; but with 356 days remaining, there is always room for one more so I am adding G.O’s Graceful Hands to the mix because there is much proof documenting such and as is evident in this Countdown series (and blog generally), I have no problem praising him, even something as seemingly trivial as admiring his hands! But…they are beautiful.

The Soulful Countdown to G.O’s Discharge ~ Day 372

Gratitude is learned at very early age. I am certain most all of us were taught as children that when you receive something, you say thank you. But not all are as well-versed in the art of being gracious for things that not necessarily tangible: admiration, support, respect, love. Often we seem to forget that these too are great gifts to receive and as such should require equal gratitude even if we cannot touch them or hold them. G.O understands the art of gratitude. And I suspect it has been with him ever since his cognizance developed and he could understand the concept. He certainly understood it extremely well in the early days of his career. I thought it was a good day to share another installment of G.O’s Fabled Fan Service here on the countdown.
