Reason 7 – Nifty Shades of Byung Hee

Sexy GO

As he takes the hoodie wear to a level of its own (his own), so too does Byung Hee make a statement with the sunglasses he wears often choosing a particular shape and style to suit the moment (or not), and always making them look good regardless of the occasion. His fine facial features serve him well affording him the ability to wear any shape, size or color. And although he may choose to wear them to help establish a sense of anonymity, I like to think he wears them to simply increase his already existing and overflowing cool quotient.^^ It seems to add some extra special swag to his persona when he does decide to rock the decorative shaded eyewear and gives me yet another reason to love him like I do.

[series] 116 Reasons to Love Byung Hee: #5 – Everybody on the Left

Reason 5 – Everybody on the Left

gogogo-1

I happen to think left-handed people are otherworldly. There is something unique and mysterious about them and so it comes as no surprise to me that MBLAQ’s resident mischief-maker is left-handed. Call me crazy (and you probably already do), but I find that characteristic oddly attractive and rank it as one of the reasons to love the adorably sweet and delightfully left-handed Byung Hee.

[series] 116 Reasons to Love Byung Hee: #4 – In The Hood

Reason 4 – In The Hood

For this post, I am going to keep my reason short and sweet. Byung Hee is lovable in any style of clothing or head wear, but I happen to think he takes the art of hoodie (or a hood of any particular style) wearing to a level all of his own. It’s a hat, so to speak, (even though it is attached to something) but, not all men can rock a hat and/or hood. He can and, well, I LOVE it.^^

 Reason 3 – High IQ-tie

There is nothing quite like good old-fashioned intelligence that pushes a man’s attractiveness to the next level. Yes, a cute smile, some sculpted biceps and a schmexy goatee are nice. But none of that would work without throwing some brains into the mix. Couple that with talent, a warm heart, graciousness, a sense of humor and lots of charisma and what you get is yet another reason to love Byung Hee.

Reason No. 2 – Lip Service

More Aiesh GO

You had to expect some shallow reasons, right?  But I may surprise you with this post even if it seems as if I am simply ogling the man’s lips! Inasmuch as the songs he sings originate in his heart, it is through G.O’s lips those thoughts and emotions must eventually pass. And what better send off than from his perfectly formed, and resplendently lush lips. Yes….I count his beautiful lips as one of the many reasons to love Byung Hee!♥

[series] 116 Reasons To Love Byung Hee: #1 – Sweet Dad-Hee

Reason No. 1 – Sweet Dad-Hee

GO with Baby

When asked in an interview once, if you did not become a musician, what would you be, G.O answered: A father of an ordinary family.

Not a rocket scientist. Not the king of the world. Not the president. No, just a father of an ordinary family. It may sound simple, but in that simplicity lies something completely noble, at least to me. It is clear that family has always been and continues to be very important to him and that having a family of his own is something that he just may think about now and again. I think he takes the idea of ‘family’ and applies it to pretty much all aspects of his own life. This is a wonderful reason to love Byung Hee.

That Ridiculously Surreal Fangirl Moment You Cannot Believe Actually Happened

Screen Shot 2014-06-02 at 3.28.17 PM

I was truly hoping that video of the May 30, 2014 MBLAQ online Meet & Greet would be uploaded so I could rewatch it to make sure I was not hallucinating the events of that afternoon (well, it was early, EARLY morning for me). MWave obliged. It really happened. That sweet and furry bias of mine, G.O, visibly shocked at seeing my picture, remembered me, mentioned he knew who I was and told Seungho, Cheondoong, Mir and everyone watching how I came to Seoul to see him in his musicals. It was indeed one of the most surreal moments in my life and one I won’t soon forget.

♥♥♥

I admit to not being able to contain my love and admiration for this young man. It probably borders on the obsessive but fortunately he doesn’t need a restraining order just yet! In all honesty though, I truly do admire his amazing talent as a performer in all genres he has touched. It wasn’t, however, until I had the opportunity to watch him interact with fans that I was really pushed over the fangirl edge. I was in awe as to how truly genuine and sincere he was in his appreciation for his fans! The best part is that I have been on the receiving end of that appreciation and it is truly special. I am firm believer that you cannot fake sincerity. You either are or you aren’t. G.O in every imaginable way is.

So where did I come up with this “116 Reasons to Love Byung Hee” thing all of a sudden? Seems random, right?

When Your Bias Tells Everyone He Knows YOU

MNet Meet & Greet

In what seems like a million years ago now, MNet scheduled an online Meet & Greet with MBLAQ to celebrate the release of their 6th mini album, Broken.  It was initially scheduled for Thursday, April 17, 2014 which would have been really cool for me since I was in Seoul at that time to see G.O in his second musical, Seopyeonje. Then the Sewol Ferry tragedy happened and out of respect for the families who lost loved ones as well as for a nation mourning, MBLAQ and MNet collectively decided to postpone and reschedule the meet and greet. It would happen at some point, we just did not know when. In the meantime, we were encouraged to buy up the CD and vie for position as ‘top buyer’ for some extra special love from the group during the meet & greet. I was determined to be one of those top buyers.

바람의나라 (The Kingdom of The Winds) – Final Thoughts of G.O’s Prince Hodong

Kingdom Leads

As I sit down to gather my final thoughts about the musical 바람의나라 (The Kingdom of The Winds), and in particular, G.O’s gentle nuanced performance, I truly do not know where to begin. Before I stepped into the theatre to watch it unfold real-time, I did a little background check of the story so I would have some idea going in.  Still, nothing could have prepared me for the powerful and emotional interpretation brought to the stage by the Seoul Arts Group or the tender, heart-wrenching performance by G.O in the role of Prince Hodong. G.O continues to shock and amaze me.
