Reason 4 – In The Hood
For this post, I am going to keep my reason short and sweet. Byung Hee is lovable in any style of clothing or head wear, but I happen to think he takes the art of hoodie (or a hood of any particular style) wearing to a level all of his own. It’s a hat, so to speak, (even though it is attached to something) but, not all men can rock a hat and/or hood. He can and, well, I LOVE it.^^
There is some history to the hoodie. Oh you knew I was going to throw a little information your way. Don’t worry, I have more pictures of this fine-looking man rocking the hoodie!! So, the hoodie. Yes, well according to the University of Google, the garment and it’s style “can be traced back to Medieval Europe when the normal clothing for monks included a long, decorative hood called a cowl attached to a tunic or robes, and a chaperon or hooded cape was very commonly worn by any outdoors worker. The hooded sweatshirt was first produced in the United States starting in the 1930s. The modern clothing style was first produced by Champion in the 1930s and marketed to laborers working who endured freezing temperatures while working in upstate New York.” The term ‘hoodie’ itself was coined in the 1990’s.
The hoodie phenomenon really picked up in the 1970’s. This was most likely do the development of the hip hop culture in New York City around that time. The hoodie provided an element of instant anonymity and probably appealed to the persona of a hip hop artist who was often viewed as thuggish and perhaps even criminal.
I get it…but really, there is nothing thuggish going on here. But, I can understand Byung Hee wearing a hoodie in this respect to get through an airport terminal or even to go grab a Starbucks or something and not be noticed. Excuse us Byung Hee….but your handsomeness alone would draw attention. Just saying.^^
But, the hoodie hood is not the only hood he hoods up well with!!^^ Take for example the parka hood:
The windbreaker hood:
The leather jacket hood:
Or…well, how about the ‘bunny’ hood:
Bwaaahahahaaa…gosh I love this man!♥
The traditional hoodie, however, is probably my fave and is even sweeter when accessorized.
With facemask:
With facemask and Seung Ho:
With facemask and scooter:
With scooter and Mir:
With simple frames and a goatee (a personal fave):
With shades and a leather jacket:
With shades & a MCM backpack:
With shades, a MCM backpack and Seung Ho:
With Seung Ho (again) and a menu:
With a piano:
With Seopyeonje co-star, Cha Ji Yeon:
With his MBLAQ brothers:
With his MBLAQ brothers and some G.O.O.D Luv from the Art of Seduction:
Or probably the best accessory yet, his fans (^^):
I think it is safe to say he can wear a hoodie (or hooded garment) to its full advantage. I love the look on him but have to be honest that if it starts to detract from his fine features, I would graciously ask him to remove it! Then again, there is always room for compromise!^^
