Waiting For Donghun ~ Day 37

Back on Day 26, we had a little taste of Donghun in the ASMR seat whispering the meaningful lyrics of A.C.E’s single, Callin’. This time he’s back with something more playful – Jelly ASMR. I am still trying to wrap my head around the whole ASMR phenomenon, to be honest. But, if Donghun wants to guide us through sampling various jellies, their taste, and more importantly, their sound, I’m all ears. Frankly, I found this ASMR quite entertaining, especially Donghun’s critique on the various jellies. Oh and when is a whispering Donghun not a good thing?

Waiting For Donghun ~ Day 35

For today’s selection, I am opting for the whimsical. The sweet. The kind of One Shot that will make you go ‘awwwww.’ I am sure there are many Donghun photographs capable of eliciting such a reaction, but I know as well as anyone that just because I find Mr. Lee of the handsome and charming ilk (equally transmittable via picture, video or live in person experience), others may not. But none (in my estimation) can resist the power of a baby picture. Hop in the time machine because the next stop is Baby Dong Dong avenue.

Waiting For Donghun ~ Day 34

Color me so amused when the A.C.E babes don their school uniforms and then to proceed to dance to the likes of Savage or some other tantalizing song with aggressive and (at times) suggestive choreography. The duality of it all! For today’s Busking Files offering, we travel back in time to January 2020, the boys fresh off of their incredible Under Cover tour and back out on the streets of Hongdae doing what they do best.

Waiting For Donghun ~ Day 33

Legend has it that a true test of vocal acuity in the K-pop ranks can be best tested by the singer’s ability to sing So Chan Whee’s Tears, in its original key. Apparently, this is no small feat. Tears was released in 2000 and was (and continues to be) Chan Whee’s most remembered song. Back in July 2018, four of the A.C.E lads guested on Idol League and host, Boom challenged Donghun to sing Tears . . . but not before the other three decided to give it a try. Oh, the chaos!

Waiting For Donghun ~ Day 32

I have been patiently waiting for another Hunnie Cam day. I could probably make every day a cam day because watching Donghun perform is one of my favorite things. I think what I want to accomplish here (in addition to helping make these days move a little quicker) is to show more sides of him through variety appearances, vlogs, Vlives, etc. That is not to say that hearing him sing and watching him dance in and of themselves is not enough to show various sides of him – they are. But, variety is the spice of life. Anyway, I LOVE the fan cam pull of the day. Heading back to summer of 2019 and the FCMM Concert to allow Mr. Lee to take us higher.

Waiting For Donghun ~ Day 30

A couple weeks ago, I debuted the Pre-Debut DH series here within the countdown and talked a little about Donghun’s fateful beginnings as a contestant on the Korean music talent program Superstar K5. I mentioned then that Donghun did pass through the preliminary auditions to land in the top 100 and went on to compete. In fact, he eventually made to the finals, as in top ten. But here’s the twist, he landed in the top ten as part of the four member group, Plan B.

Waiting For Donghun ~ Day 29

So many selcas, and so many days ahead to share them! About 610 days at that. Well, it is a good thing that all of the members of A.C.E are prodigious selca masters. The only problem I face on Donghun’s Selca Magic days is which selca I will choose to share. Let’s see, there is pouty Donghun, sexy Donghun, playful Donghun, flirtatious Donghun, coy Donghun, etc. The list can go on and on. I like the idea of coy Donghun for today.

Waiting For Donghun ~ Day 28

I decided on a Vocal Magic moment for today and then also realized that the post could equally double as a pre-debut moment. Even though Donghun and Chan recorded this cover of John Legend’s All of Me prior to A.C.E’s debut, it falls decidedly more perfect in the vocal magic category. I am not going to lie, when I first heard it, I was floored. If you are familiar with John Legend’s original, you will know it as a solo song. Let two sing it and it becomes a harmonized masterpiece of grand proportions. I could be exaggerating, but I am most likely not. Come have a listen.
