Every time I write about G.O, it is an exercise in celebrating his talent and beauty. His talent is a given and I will never tire of writing or talking about it. When I write about his beauty however, (most of the time) I am usually referring to something that is far deeper than what the eye can see. That is not to say that G.O is lacking whatsoever in the looks department. Far from it, actually. I think he is the most handsome man on the planet. That is a bold statement, I know. But I happen to believe it. So I am going to go to the shallow end of the fangirl pool today to get lost in G.O’s beauty. You know, to just sigh at some of the handsome captured over the years.

It has been awhile since I have visited Broken which is why I felt like a Vocal Virtuosity moment today. And, 둘이라서 [Because We Are Two] is on my mind, probably because it recently rotated in during a shuffle play of tracks on my MBLAQ playlist after being absent for awhile. Hearing G.O’s wonderful composition with his crystal clear and powerful vocals at the helm was all I needed to make sure it found it’s place in the VV archives before I close this countdown out.

No matter how many times I go back to look at the incredible captures A Lucky Day gave fans during her time documenting the early evolution of MBLAQ, I am still left in awe of her work. And, grateful. Today I honor her (along with her subject of course) in my newly created category of Through Fan Eyes. Okay, I am not going to lie. I admit to being somewhat concerned about what I was going to do when I reached the letter X in The ABC’s of G.O sub-series here on the countdown. The letter X is not the friendliest of letters when trying to find adjectives in general let alone one adequate to describe our lovely G.O. But, I think I found one.^^ We all know that G.O has an affinity for travel and that his life and career as an artist has allowed him many opportunities to see a great many parts of this world. Although the life of an artist, celebrity, etc., can be difficult at times in that they are often always under scrutiny, the perks of being able to see the world, experience cultures and meet people from all walks of life, is certainly enriching and I think G.O would agree. This is why I am comfortably saying that G.O is xenophilic.

It seems that I am not quite ready to walk away from the summer of 2015 and G.O in a sexy black fedora quite just yet. A black fedora is always a sophisticated style choice. It is classic and elegant. And when pulled down low across one eye it adds a sense of mystery and danger. A fedora is wearable film noir and I have to say that it added a powerful and mature feel to G.O’s stage presence during 전쟁이야 [This Is War] at the Daejeong Super Concert on 30 August 2015. It’s Fan-Camming Friday and Day 702 . . . let’s do this!

Each one of us has our own way to navigate and express emotion. Some are screamers while others are silent. Some are weepy while others are stoic. Then there are the lucky ones who are able to express emotion through art. I do not know where G.O would fall on the spectrum were he not an artist. But I do think he most readily has used music to reveal the emotions of his heart be they emotions that have expressed happiness or those that have been wrought with heartbreak.

Celebrating 700 Days!

Remember when G.O completed his first 100 days and it felt so good? Well, how does 700 feel?!! I would say it feels pretty spectacular with the only thing topping it being the completion of 730 days and his official discharge. I cannot believe G.O’s service is almost complete. I also cannot believe I am actually writing a 700th post! Nothing fancy here today other than to celebrate this milestone and to thank those of you who have been on this long, long journey with me. Your continued love and support for this amazing artist of man has made this labor of love worth every moment. We are almost there, G.Oddesses! In one month G.O returns and, in one month and seven days he will meet with his beloved fans.

When I first discovered G.O, it was indeed his voice that held the spotlight initially. This is true. But as I began to learn more about him, the more intriguing and captivating he became. I have talked about many of his endearing and fine characteristics throughout this countdown series, often times repeating them incessantly. I cannot help it. The man has captivated me in a way that compels me to continue to discover more about him and share why he is so very special. One of the many endearing qualities he possesses is his humor. G.O has been sharing his unique wit with his fans since the beginning and he continues to do so in his own special way through today. I thought the perfect way to celebrate the next letter up in The ABC’s of G.O was to do so by enjoying a little taste of G.O’s charming humor.

The Soulful Countdown to G.O’s Discharge ~ Day 697

I sometimes try to imagine what this countdown series would have been like had I only filled it with Vocal Virtuosity moments. Then again, every song, video or the like shared here throughout this entire countdown has actually been that kind of moment. Early on in one of the blog posts here, I labeled G.O a virtuoso at his craft. And initially when the word synced up in my mind to describe G.O, it was because of his music. But as it turns out, a virtuoso can also be someone who is skilled in any artistic pursuit. And although music may be the auto default for G.O (for good reason), I think it can apply to him across many of his artistic endeavors. For the purpose of this countdown series however, I chose to single out his virtuosity as a vocalist. Today I want to fall into G.O’s incredibly smooth and sensual vocal stylings as captured in the opening track of Ty Project No. 1, Intro, because it is exactly what some of us can use right now to soothe our souls, and heat up these cold winter days.
