On December 20, 2015, the sweet and mellifluous sounds of the gentle Bungeuppang returned to the King of Masked Singer stage. Although he did not advance to get the opportunity to de-crown the reigning king, he nevertheless left an indelible impression on both the audience and judges by quietly laying claim to a new kingdom he forged in their hearts with his passionate and heartfelt renditions of 광화문 연가 [Gwanghwamun Sonata] and 너를 위해 [For You].
Just thought I would share some of the love and excitement I did receive in response to the Merry MBLAQ Christmas Packages event not included in my previous post ~ so much happy! The excitement was all the solace I needed to know the event was a success!~♥
All packages have been sent (recipient, nominator, nominee). I can only hope that all on the receiving end who never confirmed receipt did in fact receive their packages safely (some are still in transit). The packages left my care with a hug, a kiss, and a smile. From there, they were on their own to arrive to their final destinations. I have to say, I enjoyed putting each and every one of the packages together. It was indeed a labor of love. However, I am happy and extraordinarily relieved the event is over.
When MBLAQ’s main vocal man, G.O, recently alluded in a tweet back in November to being on television again very soon, he was not stringing us along creating false hope. In June of this year, MBLAQ made their triumphant comeback releasing their 8th mini album (their first as a trio), Mirror, and there were murmurings in the fandom at that time voicing hope (along with some gentle cajoling) that the man with the honey vocals should participate as a contestant in the music competition program King of Masked Singer. Well, I think we all just got our wish.
The best thing to do with the best things in life is to give them away.
Greetings!! The next stage of the Merry MBLAQ Christmas Package event is now upon us! Before I get to the announcement of the ten recipients of the packages, I want to take a moment to thank everyone who participated and sent in nominations. It was an emotional tsunami of love that stormed its way into my heart and the hearts of my hardworking elves, and it did so with a force none of us were prepared for. My elves and I were overwhelmed by the response and equally overwhelmed by the words of love and support shared in those nominations. I can assure you choosing ten was not an easy task but I am happy to announce with great appreciation and love, the following recipients.
Greetings! The nominating period for the Merry MBLAQ Christmas Package event has now closed! A million thank yous to all who have sent in nominations. It exceeded my expectations. I was very touched by all of the beautiful thoughts and words shared, and especially the love. I am so proud to be a part of this fandom and of the camaraderie between us all. More importantly, however, is the love and support we all share for our beloved MBLAQ, Lee Joon and Cheondung.
As a reminder, my merry elves and I will take the next week to deliberate over who will receive the packages. I can assure you it will not be an easy task as there were many nominations, all of them special and deserving! On November 23rd, I will post the names of the recipients and will be in touch with either them, or their nominators. Finally, during the week of December 1st, the packages will be sent out.

As it is officially G.O’s birthday here on my side of the world, the nominating period for the Merry MBLAQ Christmas Package event has officially begun!! As a reminder, the nominating period will remain open through Sunday, November 15, 2015, until 11:59 PM (US Central Standard Time). Send your nominations to: mblaqchristmas@gmail.com and remember to include in the subject line of the email: MBLAQ Christmas Package Nomination.
You may nominate anyone of your choosing, and you may nominate more than one person. Likewise, if you are so inclined, you may even nominate yourself! Remember to tell me a little about the nomination, and specifically, if the nom has a bias….a MBLAQ bias, even if that bias is Joon or Cheondung. Let me also add, this event is open to fans worldwide.
The ten recipients of the Christmas packages will be announced November 23, 2015. The packages will go out during the week of December 1 and will be shipped via EMS. For more information on the details check out my previous post.

Today is Byung Hee’s birthday (well, Seoul time). His 29th. I struggle to find ways that would celebrate him in the manner and to the extent he deserves. I come up empty. Empty because nothing would be remotely adequate. He deserves to be celebrated. Not just today, but every day. I am going to go all new age-y on you here for moment and say (with honesty and certainty), there are simply not many like him who grace Earth and allow us the honor of such presence. I am of the opinion that there are those people who walk among us who hold special light. Those marked for greatness. Those destined to shine. MBLAQ’s main vocal man G.O is one of those beings. And I am not shy about telling everyone that over and over!
Just five days shy of his 29th birthday, G.O took to his twitter account and posted two pictures and our collective hearts exploded with warmth over his sweet nostalgia.
It is confirmed that 10 MBLAQ Christmas packages will indeed go out to 10 worthy fans. The elves have now revealed to me details of the whos, the hows, and the whens.
