When isn’t Y a sexy feast to behold? Most always never. It has always been one of MBLAQ’s most provocative songs with an equally intense performance when brought to the stage. So when MBLAQ decided to include it in their performance repertoire at the 4 June 2013 Sexy Beat showcase, I think it pretty much left fans unhinged. Maybe it was all of the black leather and sheer components of their stage wear. Oh my . . . sexy beat certainly lived up to its name. There was a reason MBLAQ titled their fifth mini album Sexy Beat. When you look at all of the visuals that exploded from print to video, to live stage performances throughout promotion and beyond, everything about that album (and era) oozed sexy. The men were maturing and settling into their masculinity and with Sexy Beat, it showed. For the G.O One Shot today, I take a shot from the Sexy Beat era offered in .gif form.

Mmmmmmm . . . sexy Sexy Beat, how I do love to revisit thee. The music, the style, and the drop dead gorgeous that is G.O, all of it a feast for the senses. For this Fan-Camming Friday, I turn to the fantastic editing skill of the mysterious MemenGO. In June 2013, MBLAQ was blazing hot and ferociously promoting their fifth mini album, Sexy Beat. During that steamy summer month, the men gave fans 7 glorious fan signs (Ilsan, Yeongdeungpo, Jongno, Yeouido, Sinchon, Incheon and Yongsan). Masternim MemenGO’s fan cam mix that I share today contains those moments captured at the June 15-16 and June 21-22 fan signs.

Hehehehehe……this man and his adorable sense of humor never cease to entertain me. Instead of a music-oriented Fan-Camming Friday moment today, I am choosing a little blip of G.O from the 9 June 2013 mini Inkigayo outdoor fan meeting. In addition to the incredible Sexy Beat style that he knew he was absolutely killing (and he totally was), G.O also made it a point to mention that even though he wears sunglasses, he has very handsome eyes.

It is officially the last day of 2016. My Countdown log states that it is a G.O One Shot day and as I shuffled through the many pictures I have crowding my hard drive of this gorgeous man, I stopped dead in my tracks when I hit a few shots of G.O in the . . . well, I am going to suggest, iconic blue pin-striped suit of the Sexy Beat era and said to myself, ‘oh yes, I found my New Year’s Eve One Shot.’

I hope I survive this post. It is evident that G.O effortlessly pulls the proverbial emotional rug out from under me with the utterance of a single note, every time. Without fail. I think I have established that fact well before I began this countdown series. But when you factor in his smooth and quietly sensual style of any era, and particularly during the Sexy Beat era, he becomes more disarming. Lethal. It is Fan-Camming day – omg, I have a great idea. I will make every Friday a Fan-Camming day. Fan-Camming Friday. It has a nice ring to it. Ok, where was I? For Day 296, I noticed I had one notation in my countdown log and that was “find a G.O-focused cam performance of Cry.” I found one and it is from the 4 June 2013 Sexy Beat showcase. Please, proceed with caution.^^

I love G.O’s voice, his quick wit, intellect and smile. His quiet humbleness and gracious manner have no match. Tie that all up into his gummy worm-loving playfulness and it truly does make you wish he were your brother, your uncle…or even your boyfriend. Bless the fangirls who captured those moments where our mischievous main vocal so matter-of-factly made the gummy worm an all out fashion statement and super sweet accessory.

Because it is summer and there is an overabundance of heat, I am just going to let the thermostat continue to climb. I guess I am on a bit of a Sexy Beat binge. Do you ever go through favorite album rotation syndrome? Some days for me it’s Mirror and Mona Lisa. Some days Mirror and Broken. Seems this week it is Mirror and Sexy Beat.  Clearly, always Mirror. ^^ Anyway, I declare Day 162 of G.O’s service a Fan-Camming day, and make way for Smoky Girl and the amazing editing skills of MemenGO87.
