Some moments in the past are a little harder to revisit than others. Still, I find that all of the moments that I am revisiting here on the blog that are leading up to G.O’s military discharge are reminders to the how and why he captured my attention, sealed my loyalty and support, and above all, stole my heart. Days before MBLAQ would take the stage one final time as a five member group, the core three of Seung Ho, G.O and Mir made a couple of public appearances, including the opening of the Boy London flag ship store in Seoul on 27 November 2014.

Shortly after debut, the men of MBLAQ continued their endeavors to take over the world…hehehe…well, more like win over more hearts, and they were succeeding. In addition to using their incredible musical talent, they were also appearing on many variety shows and visiting various radio studios introducing audiences to their special brand of wit and charm. From June to August 2010, G.O let his sweet and sexy charisma descend upon DJ Jung Ga Eun’s radio program, Sweet Music Box.

Oh my…I have not listened to Outsider’s Bye U in such a long time and it was exactly what I needed on this 163rd day of G.O’s service to brighten my spirits. Inasmuch as G.O has this wonderful collaborative style when working exclusively with a rapper, I would have never expected a speed rapper would have necessarily been a good fit. As time goes on, however, G.O confirms to me over and over how much of a music chameleon he truly is, and how he can adapt to any genre of music as well as a particular style within that genre.

Because it is summer and there is an overabundance of heat, I am just going to let the thermostat continue to climb. I guess I am on a bit of a Sexy Beat binge. Do you ever go through favorite album rotation syndrome? Some days for me it’s Mirror and Mona Lisa. Some days Mirror and Broken. Seems this week it is Mirror and Sexy Beat.  Clearly, always Mirror. ^^ Anyway, I declare Day 162 of G.O’s service a Fan-Camming day, and make way for Smoky Girl and the amazing editing skills of MemenGO87.

The Soulful Countdown to G.O’s Discharge ~ Day 159

One year has passed. And rapidly at that. It has been one year since the fan signs in Myeongdong and Incheon last July. Yes, I said rapidly because indeed it has flown by. This gives me hope that the one year, six months, and twenty-three days remaining in G.O’s military service will march by equally as quick and he will return refreshed, renewed and ready to roll. Until then, I wish to reminisce.
