Late summer, early autumn 2014 had MBLAQ doing a bit of a concert crawl of sorts around South Korea which was amazing for their A+. From the end of August until the beginning of October, they graced many stages. However, it was during this time that things began to unravel for the group leading of course to the Curtain Call shows and ultimate reorganization of the group. But I don’t want to rehash those difficult times again. I do, however, wish to share a compilation fan cam of our endearing main vocal in the throes of 남자답게 [Be A Man] over the course of August – October 2014 as it is Fan-Camming Friday.

The Soulful Countdown to G.O’s Discharge ~ Day 376
I think it is true that many of G.O’s most playful moments probably happen during fan meetings and fan signs. I know that G.O has shown us playful moments during variety programs, and even in the closing moments on the concert stage where often times a sort of playful chaos and mayhem break out. But the fan signs . . . well, they breed a special kind of playful.
The Soulful Countdown to G.O’s Discharge ~ Day 359
Let me just cut to the chase for this Fan-Camming Friday by saying that anytime a fan cam features an accidental flash of otherwise covered up skin and a wink, along with outstanding vocals and provocative choreography, it easily reaches that gold standard of fan camming. This is my choice for Day 359 ~ one week from the year marker of G.O’s service. A cam from amazing masternim letsgoinho taken at the Human Target Awards on 22 November 2011.
The Soulful Countdown to G.O’s Discharge ~ Day 356
My recent time travel to 2007 keeps coaxing me back for more, and with good reason. I have denied myself the pleasure of sharing Tykeys’ 연상연하 [Old and Young] for almost a year now. Yes…a year!! The second single from their amazing Ty Project No. 1 is a stand out neo-soul treasure all about (what some may deem) the forbidden love between a younger man and older woman. And as many of you know, there was a MV released along with the song…starring our dreamy main vocal as the leading ‘younger’ man.
The Soulful Countdown to G.O’s Discharge ~ Day 352
It is difficult to come by definitive and clear facts regarding everything there is to know about Tykeys. And I suppose that is all well and fine because what we do have in way of pictures and video prove to me that they were an incredibly talented neo-soul R&B sensation that simply did not get the recognition they deserved. However bad the situation was when things ended for the group, it does not take away from the fact that they gave us some incredible music in one amazing album. For this 352nd day of G.O’s service, (and Fan-Camming Friday day), I share a moment of solo work from those early days. A clip of our soulful crooner backed by a live band singing one of his favorites, Wildflower.
The Soulful Countdown to G.O’s Discharge ~ Day 345
It’s Friday!! Happy Friday all and welcome to another installment of Fan-Camming Friday here on the Soulful Countdown to G.O’s Discharge. Sometimes Fridays are fluffy. You know, the end of the week to wind down and decompress – quiet, peaceful. Others are fierce. The work week is over, the weekend has arrived and it is time to get our fun on! Today’s Fan-Camming Friday is fierce in the guise of well, not necessarily fluff, but more like a collision of demure G.O with a sensually masculine G.O in the form of MBLAQ’s aggressive dance track, Y.
The Soulful Countdown to G.O’s Discharge ~ Day 338
I only have one question for those fans who had the honor and privilege of getting to one (or more) of MBLAQ concerts during their Blaq% Tour in 2012: How wild was Wild? Every fancam I have viewed (and I am certain I have not seen all of them) seems to indicate G.O and Mir’s live performance of their raucous dance track was every bit as electrifying and, yes…sexy as the provocative lyrics suggest it could, would and should be. Since it is Friday, I think we should revisit a Wild fan cam moment from the tour where you will not only be reminded of G.O’s astounding vocals, but also get a taste of that simmering sexy he lets come out to play in the performance. The Soulful Countdown to G.O’s Discharge ~ Day 331
As we near on the one year mark of G.O’s service, I have been wondering if I should do anything different for the final days here on the Countdown. I thought about scaling back a little and really making it simpler – as was my original plan until the series took on a life of its own. I keep telling myself that any little bit will still be amazing since, well…it’s G.O! So I think my best option is to just go with the flow and let the series decide ~ let the inspiration that G.O gives to me continue to be the barometer that dictates what I do and how I honor him during 2017, and that last month and two weeks in 2018. Sounds like a good plan, right? For today, Day 331, it’s a Fan-Camming Friday and I wanted a cam that was a little more recent. My choice is some G.O-focused Mirror from MBLAQ’s June 2015 Showcase.
The Soulful Countdown to G.O’s Discharge ~ Day 254
I am feeling nostalgic for an era I was not a part of. I have been thinking quite a bit of MBLAQ’s debut and how exciting it must have been for all. Maybe with the passing of another anniversary this month and having been in Seoul at that time, I am just feeling emotional. I think of the fans who were supporting G.O when he was with Tykeys and how they continued support through his transition to MBLAQ and I am grateful. For today, which is a fan-camming day, I am returning to A Lucky Day (again), and her sweet compilation of G.O-focused cams during some early performances of Oh Yeah.
The Soulful Countdown to G.O’s Discharge ~ Day 244
I carry around a notebook (everywhere I go) that has now become quite tattered wherein I have been keeping track of each and every Countdown post ~ yeah, I am pretty old school. When I began this series, I wrote down each day of G.O’s service and have been gradually filling in each line (day) with an idea or thought for a post for that specific day. A long while ago, I made Day 244 a Fan-Camming day and next to it simply wrote: Omiya. I have many fond memories of that lovely day in June. It was also a day filled with an avalanche of feels. When the newly minted trio performed 말하지 말걸 [Don’t Speak], hearing G.O sing it live once again reminded me that the song and his performance of it will forever remain in a class of its own when it comes to feels. Seriously.
