It is Saturday and the 3rd day of February. That means two things: G.O is discharged in exactly two weeks and it is time for a G.O Dance Break. I started thinking about when G.O and Mir went to Perú for the Koica Dream project and I remembered there was cam out there of the wild pair dancing it up a bit for their Perú A+. That would make for a fun dance break moment to share for this 717th day of Mr. Main Vocal’s service. So, without further ado, let’s go back to Perú.

When isn’t Y a sexy feast to behold? Most always never. It has always been one of MBLAQ’s most provocative songs with an equally intense performance when brought to the stage. So when MBLAQ decided to include it in their performance repertoire at the 4 June 2013 Sexy Beat showcase, I think it pretty much left fans unhinged. Maybe it was all of the black leather and sheer components of their stage wear. Oh my . . . sexy beat certainly lived up to its name. I think it is a good day to go wild, don’t you? 2012 was one very bountiful year. So much MBLAQ goodness including the sub-unit collaboration of G.O and Mir. Usually prone to high jinks and mischief, our wild pair traded in their playful images with some in-you-face swag during the Blaq% Asia Tour that year with their provocative single, Wild and it is my choice for this Fan-Camming Friday day.

There are literally dozens of words beginning with the letter R that could describe, suit and complement G.O for this installment of The ABC’s of G.O. The first that comes to mind is romantic. I have no reference to confirm he is, but G.O has intimated things in past interviews that would suggest he is a bit of a romantic. Likewise, the way in which he interprets love ballads would also support my belief. I know ‘romantic’ is an easy go to and G.O may even appreciate being described so. But I think there is a word that rings even more true about him. That word is resilient.

We have all felt the surge of excitement when starting something for the first time. A new job. A new relationship. And I suspect for fledgling idols in the making, the same holds true when they debut. I am sure it takes some adjusting. But, approaching everything with gratitude and humor helps. Lately, I have been feeling extremely nostalgic most likely due to Seungho enlisting and having all three members of MBLAQ currently serving out their military duties. Even though G.O has a little over three months remaining, and Mir around nine, the reality is that all three are away. As such, I find myself looking to MBLAQ moments that are filled with levity and laughs. So today a look back at some backstage antics from the MTV M Show. Way, way back that is . . . 8 December 2009.

Happy 8th Anniversary MBLAQ!!

October 15, 2017 marks MBLAQ’s 8th anniversary. Yes, eight years ago today MBLAQ debuted and revealed to Korean popular music and fans around the world, a versatile group with talent, vision and a stockpile of charisma. At their zenith as five, they were powerhouses on the stage, and were the kings of variety brimming with comedic timing and a natural ability to charm not only the many show hosts, MCs and DJs they met, but colleagues and fans alike. Yes, there have been highs and there have been lows, but they are still standing intact as three, as talented and charismatic as ever. I celebrate their love, friendship and unity, not only today, but every day.

I admit there are some residual feels lingering from Day 592, watching the playful antics of G.O and Mir together. There is something sweet and special about their brotherhood. Maybe it has something to do with the fact that they are both water signs or that they are both the baby brothers in their respective families. Then again, maybe it is something far simpler. Maybe they love and respect each other as friends, colleagues . . . brothers. My G.O One Shot today honors a little of that bromantical brotherhood in a couple of very sweet and darling captures of the two very charming baby brothers.
