The Soulful Countdown to G.O’s Discharge ~ Day 57

I cannot speak for the entire A+ nation when I say this, but I think I would have sound argument if I were to suggest that one of the top sexiest MBLAQ songs of all time is the title track from their second mini album, Y. Listening to the volatile lyrics of the song, watching the choreography, and absorbing the intense visuals as they explode from G.O rank Y as one of my absolute MBLAQ favorites.

The Soulful Countdown to G.O’s Discharge ~ Day 56

Imagine you worked in the same office with your beloved and had to keep your relationship a secret? Could you do it? I suppose there is a little more leniency in work places these days and dating someone in the office is relatively tolerated. However, I am sure there are places that still ban it, or at best, frown upon it. Our delightful Joo Won and Go Eun in Couples Clinic: Love and War 2 were caught in situation #2 above, they worked together but loved in secret.

The Soulful Countdown to G.O’s Discharge ~ Day 55

June 2013. My emotions teeter from being grateful I was in the dark about MBLAQ at that time, to completely agonizing over why I came to the party late and, hence, missed the Sexy Beat era!! I am comforted in accepting that there is a time and reason for everything and that I fell down the MBLAQ rabbit hole at precisely the moment chosen for me to do so. Still, had I been there in June 2013, I would have had the pleasure of having my senses repeatedly annihilated by G.O, his penetrating gaze, and sensual Sexy Beat style.

The Soulful Countdown to G.O’s Discharge ~ Day 54

ㅎ  ㅎ  ㅎ  ㅎ

If you recall from Episode 5 of MBLAQ’s reality/variety program Sesame Player, there was a segment where Seung Ho, G.O, Joon and Cheondung were going to enjoy a meal at home that was going to include the oft deemed precious main course of beef. This was serious business. Everyone wanted to eat, but no one wanted to cook. The only way to settle the decision was through challenge. And when the men of MBLAQ set out to challenge each other, hilarity ensued.

The Soulful Countdown to G.O’s Discharge ~ Day 52

On August 6, 2011, it was Original Idol night on Immortal Song 2. G.O got to dance the Baby VOX choreography to Killer while singing the song with the group’s former leader from 1997 to 2005, Kan Mi Youn. Killer gave Baby VOX a Top Excellency Award at the Seoul Music Awards in 1999 and was a huge hit for the group. Of course, G.O settled into the song comfortably as if it was his very own, as per usual.

The Soulful Countdown to G.O’s Discharge ~ Day 51

I admit that with G.O’s recent departure to the Army, I have been ruminating much over his early work and, as is evidenced here, writing about it. Because I enjoy the chemistry he shared with Jung Juri, I am going to drop little moments of the two of them here throughout these next 680 days, sort of like the one shots. For the first G.O~Juri moment, I am choosing one of my faves. ~^^

The Soulful Countdown to G.O’s Discharge ~ Day 49

The evolution of MBLAQ’s interpretation of 80’s singer/songwriter Cho Duk Bae’s 그대 내 맘에 들어오면은 [Come Into My Heart] from debut to when they sang it last together at the Curtain Call shows in November 2014 is evidenced by their own evolution as artists who were able to fully understand the beauty and foundation of a well-written and composed song, and make it their own.
