You know, in MBLAQ’s early debut days, I think many fans were misled by G.O’s mature, street saavy look with his cropped tossled hair and goatee, and were quick to label him a bad boy. I think if I would have discovered him in those early days, he would have had the opposite affect on me, for all I see is dreamy, handsome and sexy. With five members in the group, I know G.O was not always the focal point (amazing to me but true~^^); however, if fans paid attention (and there were many who did) to the incredible passion, strength, tone and beauty of G.O’s voice while getting lost in his expressive eyes while he sang, the truth of his tender and romantic heart would shine through revealing that his core was softer than any flower boy in Korean popular music at that time and probably still is. It is nine days before Christmas and Fan-Camming Friday. In anticipation of the holidays, I want to revisit the 24 December 2009 TBS Christmas Special and MBLAQ’s hyung line performance of My Dream with a cam focus on G.O . . . of course. Since he left for training camp back on 18 February 2016, G.O has steadily albeit stealthily maintained contact with his A+. An Instagram or Twitter post here and there, some by him or indirectly by way of others who happened to capture a picture or two. Of course there was the surprise attendance at Seung Ho’s musical where we caught a glimpse of both him and Mir as they left the theater via fan cam. The best and perhaps most sneaky and cheeky way in which G.O has given us survival reports is by way of a simple profile picture update on his sns accounts. Such was the case late in the evening of 9 December when he surprised us all with updates to both his Twitter and Instagram accounts and what was even better . . . it was with a selca.

I would image that recording an episode of any kind of variety show, sitcom, drama, or even MV for that matter, would be putting in a long day’s work. And given that the shows are generally taped, I would assume that there is down time, NGs, retakes, breaks and the like. All of which make conditions right for a little mischief. If I had to choose a mischief-maker for my team, I would most assuredly choose G.O. Back on 22 February 2010, he, Joon and Mir hit up the KBS2’s 스타 골든 벨 [Star Golden Bell] variety show taping for an upcoming episode and when the network cameras were not rolling, there were some fan cams that were thus giving the Countdown another quick and cheeky Playful G.O moment.
