Waiting For Donghun ~ Day 42

Let me just preface this by saying that this post is all about a Hunnie Cam you did not think you wanted, but definitely needed. I think it is particularly special because the fan sign from where it evolves happened last November. Yes, November 2020. We were still in pandemic mode at the time so there had to have been a very small number of fans in attendance which makes it all that more intimate and special. Nevertheless, there was a fan sign on November 20, 2020 which was two months after the release of A.C.E’s third EP, HJZM : The Butterfly Phantasy; the EP that includes one of my all time favorite tracks, Baby Tonight. The countdown gods must be pleased with me because there is a focused Donghun cam from the fan sign performance. Hurry…let’s have a look.

Waiting For Donghun ~ Day 41

Technically this post can operate on two levels. First, it could easily fall under the category of Pre-Debut Donghun. Second, it could also land in the Vocal Magic category. Since I call the shots on this countdown, I am officially placing it in the Vocal Magic category because, it is pure magic of the vocal kind. Imagine getting to enjoy a virtual karaoke moment with one of your fave artists? Well, apparently the Smule app allows for this to happen in it’s own little magical way. Back in 2016 (before A.C.E debuted), Donghun logged into the Smule app under hooning1993 and chose to sing Heaven’s Door with the singer-songwriter who released the song, Eric Nam.

Waiting For Donghun ~ Day 40

Another short post for a celebratory day. First, we are beginning a new month ~ welcome November! Next, we are at Day 40 ~ woo hoo! Finally, a milestone marker that we are officially under 600 days remaining in Donghun’s military service!!! Feels like we are taking baby steps towards discharge, but I promise time will indeed move swiftly. For the record, I will celebrate every milestone marker (big or small) along the way. I’m sentimental like that.

🥳✨🥳✨🥳✨🥳

Under 600 equals well under two years. If you look at it that way, it does not seem as bad . . . right?! If there is one thing I learned about countdowns, every small victory (or in this case, every day crossed off) counts!

Waiting For Donghun ~ Day 37

Back on Day 26, we had a little taste of Donghun in the ASMR seat whispering the meaningful lyrics of A.C.E’s single, Callin’. This time he’s back with something more playful – Jelly ASMR. I am still trying to wrap my head around the whole ASMR phenomenon, to be honest. But, if Donghun wants to guide us through sampling various jellies, their taste, and more importantly, their sound, I’m all ears. Frankly, I found this ASMR quite entertaining, especially Donghun’s critique on the various jellies. Oh and when is a whispering Donghun not a good thing?

Waiting For Donghun ~ Day 35

For today’s selection, I am opting for the whimsical. The sweet. The kind of One Shot that will make you go ‘awwwww.’ I am sure there are many Donghun photographs capable of eliciting such a reaction, but I know as well as anyone that just because I find Mr. Lee of the handsome and charming ilk (equally transmittable via picture, video or live in person experience), others may not. But none (in my estimation) can resist the power of a baby picture. Hop in the time machine because the next stop is Baby Dong Dong avenue.

Waiting For Donghun ~ Day 34

Color me so amused when the A.C.E babes don their school uniforms and then to proceed to dance to the likes of Savage or some other tantalizing song with aggressive and (at times) suggestive choreography. The duality of it all! For today’s Busking Files offering, we travel back in time to January 2020, the boys fresh off of their incredible Under Cover tour and back out on the streets of Hongdae doing what they do best.

Waiting For Donghun ~ Day 33

Legend has it that a true test of vocal acuity in the K-pop ranks can be best tested by the singer’s ability to sing So Chan Whee’s Tears, in its original key. Apparently, this is no small feat. Tears was released in 2000 and was (and continues to be) Chan Whee’s most remembered song. Back in July 2018, four of the A.C.E lads guested on Idol League and host, Boom challenged Donghun to sing Tears . . . but not before the other three decided to give it a try. Oh, the chaos!
