Musing While Cruising the Hallyu Highway
Just when I thought the bounty of updates G.O gifted us in the 18th month of his service had concluded, he launched an assault on our hearts. On the evening of 30 August, he pushed us clear out of any mid-week Wednesday blues and updated with not one, but two gorgeous selcas that, to be honest, are better than boyfriend picture could ever aspire to be. Ladies, show your boyfriends because this is how it is done.~^^

The shampoo selca saga continues. It was only Thursday and G.O decided to surprise us with yet another survival report update for the month of August. This time he let us know that he did shampoo his hair and offered photographic proof thereof.^^

Three days. Six updates. On the evening of 6 August, G.O blessed his Instagram account (and us) with yet another update. I can only surmise that since he has most likely been free from work and military duty, he took advantage of being able to communicate with us full tilt. I don’t know about any of you, but he certainly made my otherwise mundane weekend one of the more exciting and memorable ones of 2017.

G.O continues to spoil us with yet another update for the month of May, this one coming on the evening of the 26th. I will forever be intrigued by the mysterious companion who captures these thoughtful photographs of our charming music man going about his every day life while quietly serving out his military duties. I cannot help but surmise that we are perhaps watching him upload this very picture while stopped in traffic on a warm Seoul evening.
Here he is driving perhaps home after his Friday work day and yet he makes the otherwise mundane activity of being caught in evening traffic so absolutely artistic and, well…sexy.

With his second update for the month of May, our charming G.O continues to spoil us in 2017. I have to admit that when my birthday rolled up on me on the 17th (of May), I secretly wished G.O would update and post something just to add a little more special to my special day. He did not. However, since I carry the celebration throughout the year (yeah, I am childish like that), when he did update on 18 May, I was elated and accepted it as a belated birthday surprise!
When G.O wears a face mask, the depth and beauty of his eyes are undeniably enhanced. I love seeing him looking so fit, fresh and fabulous. This is the fifth straight month of updates from G.O ~ will he continue the trend through the end of his service? Hope so.

With the array of selcas G.O has generously gifted us throughout the month of February alone, and then the couple he surprised us with last month, it is difficult to come up with pictures that could top those. But One Shots were created to span the frontier of the many glorious captures of G.O. And for purposes of this specific category, that means pictures that do not fall within the selca spectrum. Inasmuch as a selca pretty much trumps all other pictures, I am nevertheless going to continue digging into the G.O vault for pics, .gifs and fan art to honor this category throughout the remaining days of his service. Remember after G.O opened his Instagram account, he was steadily posting (much to our delight)? He recently deleted a good many of those early pictures but thankfully gave us plenty of time to save them for our own personal archives. I want to share one of those early pics today.

Every day is a good day to be a MBLAQ fan but today was extra special. With G.O quietly serving out his military duties in public service, social media updates are cautiously allowed. He has restrained absent a few Twitter/Instagram profile picture changes which is a sweet (and cheeky) way to connect with his adoring fans while he is away. He went one better today by updating his Instagram account with this gorgeous picture of himself along with Seung Ho and Mir with a caption that read:
The three of us have been reunited after a long time.
We’ve worked hard. Can you tell what cds are behind us.
I can work with infrequent updates from him if there are more selcas (solo or with the group) in the future. Then again, I am perfectly content with any method he chooses, so long as he continues to stay in contact. ^.~

This playful (and ever-so thoughtful) namja!! G.O’s public service post while in the military allows for some leniency in his day to day activities which can include occasional (and within certain parameters) sns updates. Still, without posting a single word, our delightful main vocal simply updated his profile pictures on his Instagram and Twitter accounts on April 18th and in doing so, said hello to his adoring fans letting us all know that he is doing just fine.
