I didn’t need to ask or even wonder why,
because each question is answered when you’re near.
And I’m wise enough to know when a miracle unfolds,
this is the last time I’ll fall in love.

Part of idol culture is to periodically make appearances at award shows, movie or television drama premiers, press conferences and the occasional product or service launch party. So in addition to being able to see your bias on the stage or listen to him (or her) via the magic of digital recording, seeing them out and about at various events gives a added boost of excitement, and usually some pictures and potentially some video footage.

By the second to last episode of the Korean drama 유령[Ghost/Phantom], the Cyber Crime Unit of detectives led by Kim Woo Hyun (So Ji Sub) were starting to gel at last as a team. When brusque and salty Detective Kwan Hyuk Joo (Kwak Do Won) gathers the team for an afternoon picnic, it could easily have been considered a team building retreat of sorts. The underlying reason for the getaway, however, was far more serious and instead of butting heads (as they had been doing for 18 episodes), they finally came together to begin to truly unravel the mysteries and conspiracies of the rash of murders the show revolved around.

Out of all of G.O’s Heavenly Collaborations, none were as visually provocative as O-IWI-O with Nassun. From the MV to the live on stage performances, Nassun’s swag and rap combined with G.O’s handsome and voice were a match made entertainment heaven.

It is true that MBLAQ’s allure lies soundly in the music and all extensions of it in way of entertainment (variety, drama, film, musical theater, modeling, endorsements, etc). I admit to being envious of people whose artistic inclinations lean toward drawing and painting. I often said that if I could draw, I would be drawing G.O day and night. Probably a good thing I can’t draw or I would never sleep!

G.O on a variety program with the word golden in the title? Yes, that seems to make complete sense to me. To be honest, I am not 100% sure what this program is about, but what I do know is that there were some lovely golden G.O moments to enjoy in any event on the KBS network show, Golden Camera.

Lately I have been thinking a lot about G.O’s three musicals. All three were unique and different, all three were held in great esteem by theater-goers, fans and critics, and all three proved that G.O had a natural affinity towards musical theater. I cannot help but wonder what he was feeling taking his very first curtain call bows following his wonderful performance as Kang Hyun Woo in the politically charged jukebox musical, Gwanghwamun Sonata.

Would you agree that having a song on a drama OST and also showing up on the show constitutes a double bonus? And, wouldn’t it be made that much sweeter if that song was one you wrote and composed? Indeed. Such was the case for G.O and Mir’s 알고있었어 [I Already Knew]. They hit the trifecta for Channel A’s drama, K-pop 최강 서바이벌 [Strongest K-pop Star Survival], by appearing in the show, having a song on the OST, and being the writers and composers of that song.
