Street Sounds & Heart-shaped Rice

Today I actually eased into the day slowly trying to get my footing in this new time zone.  I am finally feeling acclimated.  I am definitely becoming a K-Metro pro but have to say that this is perhaps the easiest public transportation situation ever.  And the Metro stations are like little villages all unto themselves.  You never know what you will find.  I got duly sidetracked today by a Nature Republic store at the Express Bus Terminal stop.  Skin care is a big deal here and admittedly I would have never known about this company had Rain not lent himself to advertise for them.  Take a moment and sigh with me…..

Really though, I was on a mission to find more vegan food.

Seoul Vegan, baby!

Well, imagine my surprise when I happened upon (purely by accident) a vegan restaurant walking distance from my hotel!! Oh yes, this V-girl’s vegan radar is up and running which is better than the wifi connectivity I am encountering on my iPhone. I am in the land of Samsung and I can’t get a wifi signal?? What’s up with THAT?

Anyhoo, I am happy to report that I had the most fantastic vegan meal last night at Oh Sae Gae Hyang.  Located down a small side street in Insadong it is a gem of a find for me!  This spread all for about $7.20US, seriously!

The kimchi literally made my eyes water!!  Spicy!!!!  Ok, so I have the food part covered while I am staying in this area of Seoul.  Now, I need to focus on the important stuff – like finding that west gate at DEMA.  Operation Welcome Rain is in full swing!! Preparing for the 10th, you know!!  We got this, Sgt. Rain….we so GOT this!!!

Game On, Seoul!

Seoul

It’s the final moments that define a journey and the first ones that make it possible.

I have made it through Round One and arrived safely into San Francisco. And, we got in early! Someone knows I need to get to Seoul!  Now it is time to recharge my batteries….my electronic ones, that is!  My inner battery is fully charged and ready to greet Seoul.  I guess watching those two episodes of Fugitive was comparable to drinking about two Venti expressos for me!!!  Thank you, Ji Hoon-ssi for keeping me company on the first leg of this extraordinary journey!

Cannot wait to make acquaintance with the countless Clouds who will invariably be descending upon Seoul along with me.  I don’t know what will transpire on July 10, but I can assure you there will be a celebration! We are ready to celebrate full on, Sergeant!  And as you make it impossible for us to avoid the Rain….we will make it impossible for you to avoid knowing we are there, that you have been missed,  that you have not for a second been forgotten, and that we are ready Rain, we are so ready!!

Nothing Compares to Him

In all my spazzed out fangirl glory, I made a video paying homage to Rain. I think I have successfully crossed over into obsessed fangirl-land. It’s a fun (and exhausting) place! I am one week away from departing for Seoul and two from Rain’s discharge from the ROK Army. It’s an exciting time for me, for him, and for the countless fans across the globe.  ♥♥♥

Will He or Won’t He?

Bi cry

We Rain fans know one thing for sure, he’s a pretty tenderhearted guy who has always had a soft spot for his fans.  I wonder then, will he be moved to tears by the fans who will most assuredly receive him as he exits the military?  I know I will be able to see first-hand, but in the meantime, I pose that question to you and ask that you cast your vote:
