Are any of you hopeless romantics like me yet lose sight of the fact that you are? I am sure there are a few of you out there. You know, had your heartbroken a couple few times but on a good day somehow feel that love is still transcendent? Sometimes when I look back at G.O’s roles in either Pure Love or Couples Clinic, I am reminded that I am indeed a hopeless and quite often, helpless romantic. My G.O One Shot today is a little shot of some G.O romantic from Pure Love.

Happy November! Unequivocally, the month of G.O! I am kicking off the month with a One Shot since according to my log, it is time for one.^^ I think one of the most beautiful and exquisite professional pictures of G.O that has ever been taken comes from the GQ Korea spread for the 2011 Armani Exchange watch collection campaign. There were a few pictures taken for the campaign, but the one I share as today’s G.O One Shot is perhaps one of my all-time favorites of the series.

Inasmuch as I long for a revival of each of G.O’s musicals with him back to reprise his roles, it is Gwanghwamun Sonata that I especially would like to see. Yes, you are right to believe I say that because it was the only one I did not see. Can you blame me for wanting to turn back time or, in the alternative, see him back in the tempestuous role of political activist Kang Hyun Woo? I was duly heartbroken when I recently discovered that the musical is actually being revived for a short run beginning in December. Waaah! I suppose what little is out there in way of fan cam and pictures of G.O’s performance is all we will get . . . for now. Today then, I would like to return to the Gwanghwamun Sonata stage to revisit the vivacious and energetic closing curtain call number for this Fan-Camming Friday.

In the early days of this countdown series I was giving all kinds of love to G.O’s turn in the drama Couples Clinic: Love & War 2 that he starred in alongside Rainbow’s Go Woori. I admit to being completely smitten with the idea that he was in a drama that had romance as its foundation. As you know, there are so many things that attract me to G.O. For certain, his ability to tap into his romantic side be it in music, drama (and hopefully some day, film) is high on that list. You will all recall that moment in the episode when Joo Won proposes marriage to Go Eun during a romantic dinner which also included Joo Won serenading her prior thereto with a short excerpt of Han Dong Joon’s classic love song, 너를 사랑해 [I Love You].  Undeniably, a Vocal Virtuosity moment.

The Soulful Countdown to G.O’s Discharge ~ Day 599

It is Day 599 of G.O’s military service. I cannot believe that come tomorrow, he will be completing 600 of his 730 days. It is astounding how quickly the time has gone by. Maybe for some of you it feels like it has dragged but don’t worry, when you get to be my age it will speed up nicely for you, and then you will long for those days when it felt like it dragged! This is true. So we hit another milestone tomorrow and I am already celebrating. I cannot help it ~ I am getting very excited for his return. But, I still have 132 more days to fill here on the countdown, so I will try to keep my emotions in check. I am making it difficult for myself with today’s choice for our G.O One Shot. It is a .gif day and I decided on a moment from his small screen MV work with Ailee back in 2012 because quite frankly, G.O will show you . . . his eye gaze game is strong.

There have been so many instances throughout this countdown series when I mentioned how much I believe G.O is a work of art all unto himself. After viewing so many pictures and yes, having the opportunity to see him up close and in person, I still hold this thought to be true. I have to give much credit to those who have captured him on film, specifically his loving fans. True, the subject matter (G.O, himself) is a great foundation to work from. And yes, timing, perfect light (or not), and camera settings help. Nevertheless, G.O provides the perfect canvas as a starting point and dedicated masternim MemenGO has captured to film many fine moments of our exquisite work of art main vocal  man. Just a single One Shot for today on this 593rd day of his service.

Over the years, G.O has had many masternim fans who have diligently captured his beauty and talent from debut to the present. I am not exactly sure when Blackbird joined the others in making G.O the focus of her artful captures, but I am very pleased she chose him because through her lens G.O is nothing short of a work of art. I came across an early capture that I have never seen before and share it as my G.O One Shot for this 581st day of his service.

Yes, it is time for another One Shot and today, it comes in .GIF form. Even though I have not yet written about G.O’s participation in the SBS Gayo Daejeon’s Colors of K-Pop, I cannot resist sharing this behind-scenes-moment .gif where in a few short seconds we experience G.O’s soulful gaze followed by radiant smile. It is exactly what my heart desires at this very moment. And once you see it, you will realize you probably desire it as well.

When I made the decision to do this countdown series I remember telling myself that I would mostly post pictures with occasional videos. My goal was to just memorialize each day because in the back of my head, I knew 730 days meant 730 posts and to be quite honest, I wasn’t sure I was up to the task. I figured posting a picture a day would not be overly demanding and I would be able to honor G.O each day as he completed his service. It seems I am incapable of restraining myself when it comes to G.O. So whenever I come to a G.O One Shot day, I am reminded of my original plan and just smile. Best laid plans, right? My last One Shot picture was from The Black Pearl. I share another from that series today.
