It has been a while since I have had a little CF fun on the Countdown. I know it is Sunday, but sometimes Sundays are fun days, right? I am sure you remember the short burst of high octane energy the men of MBLAQ brought to their endorsement of Ball’n athletic footwear back in the late autumn of 2011. Call me crazy, but in addition to enjoying G.O as a genuinely talented artist, I admit to enjoy watching him just have a little fun.

Taking this journey back to The Kingdom of the Winds has flooded my heart with emotion. It is the poignancy of G.O’s performance that calls me back over and over again to revisit the moments he spent on the Seoul Arts Center stage. Today I am offering a Vocal Virtuosity moment, but not from the stage. I choose the moment G.O and his co-star from the musical, Go Young Bin visited the Culture Bookmark show, talked about the musical, and performed the haunting 무휼과 호동의 노래 [Muhyul and Hodong’s Song].

I bet you are probably wondering . . . ‘will she make it through the entire alphabet before G.O is discharged?‘ Yeah, I wonder about that too, especially since he has a little over nine months remaining in his service and the way time is moving, I may lose track and not see my way through all 26 letters. But I like a challenge, as trite and ridiculous as this one may seem. Building vocabulary is great exercise for the mind, and seeking out ways to describe G.O is just another way of keeping fit!

The Soulful Countdown to G.O’s Discharge ~ Day 434

Because I essentially have the heart of a child and own a bit of a playful nature myself, I cannot help but bring a new (and cheeky) sub-category 434 days into the Countdown. Outside of celebrating G.O each and every day of his service, one of my favorite parts of this countdown journey has been coming up with sub-categories to help guide me. Some of those categories are perhaps somewhat serious while others are a bit more quirky and (hopefully) fun. This latest idea came to me suddenly and falls directly into the ‘fun‘ side of the spectrum. I am calling it The ABC’s of G.O. My goal is to make my way through the alphabet, choosing a word for each letter that I believe describes G.O. I will try to veer from the obvious and will dig deep into my Thesaurus. It may prove to be challenging, but I am ready. Beginning at the beginning today with the letter A.

Just a little heads up to let those following the Soulful Countdown to G.O’s Discharge here on the blog that beginning 1 November, I will be moving the publish time to 10:00 AM KST (it is currently 6:00 AM). With daylight’s saving time coming to a close here in my home state of Illinois on G.O’s birthday (6 November), the time difference between Chicago and Seoul will stretch to 15 hours. Somehow that extra hour makes the time difference seem even longer. I decided (after 254 posts) that I would really prefer being at home publishing these countdown offerings (instead of at the real job desk). Truth be told, I just want to give myself a little extra time to finalize and make the posts pretty before sending them into the blogosphere. I think you would agree that G.O is worth every extra bit of attention.~^^

[notice] Upcoming Countdown Post Schedule

Greetings! I just wanted to let you dear readers and wonderful supporters of this series know that the posting schedule in the coming three weeks may be a little erratic as I will be traveling. My plan is to keep publishing a post each day of G.O’s military service as I have been these past 228 days. I have been publishing a post for the series at around 6:00 AM Seoul time, daily. That will change beginning 3 October through 21 October. There will be no set time ~ but hopefully, each day will continue to be timely commemorated! Please be patient and as always thank you from my heart for taking this countdown journey with me.

The G.O Love Forum

While I am unable to actually have a live interactive forum here on The Fangirl Adventure Log, I was still able to create an independent one where we can meet, chat and fangirl. As I am very new to forums, it is still undergoing some construction so expect some bumps in the road as I figure it all out! But as of now, it seems to be up and running! Please note that currently (if I have it configured correctly), there is no need to register to interact on the forum, although you are encouraged to do so; however, you may access the forum as a guest and hopefully post freely.

My only request is that you keep in mind it is a place to play nice and love on G.O. If you have some negative agenda towards G.O or M3LAQ, then it is probably not the place for you!
