For Day 170 of G.O’s military service I am going to focus on the windows of his soul and ask, if your MBLAQ bias held eye contact with you (and/or your camera) for the bulk of 전쟁이야 [This Is War], do you think you would walk away from the experience feeling somewhat changed? Undone perhaps?
The intensity of 전쟁이야 [This Is War] is evident from start to finish. To have G.O’s fixed gaze on you while he is in the throes of performing this song (or any song for that matter) heightens the intensity a hundred fold. This 18 January 2012 G.O-focused fan cam at the Asia Model Festival Awards had my heart pounding wildly and I was not even operating the cam.
Clearly G.O is cognizant at all times when cameras are on him. In the bulk of this particular This Is War performance, he stays steadily focused on letsgoinho’s cam. Did focusing on a single camera help with his concentration?
Or, was G.O simply doing what he does best: elevating the bar of fan service by extending love and gratitude to a devoted fan by holding eye contact throughout an entire song? Whatever the reason, I can assure letsgoinho and all cam operators that the thrill of the eye contact through the lens of their cameras remains as potent as if we were actually sitting in the audience with them making our own connect with G.O real time.
