It is officially the last day of 2016. My Countdown log states that it is a G.O One Shot day and as I shuffled through the many pictures I have crowding my hard drive of this gorgeous man, I stopped dead in my tracks when I hit a few shots of G.O in the . . . well, I am going to suggest, iconic blue pin-striped suit of the Sexy Beat era and said to myself, ‘oh yes, I found my New Year’s Eve One Shot.’

Maybe the holidays are making me a bit more sensitive and sentimental but lately I have been thinking a lot about Prince Ho Dong, his story and more importantly, how wonderfully G.O portrayed the young tender prince in the 2014 production of 바람의나라 [The Kingdom of the Winds]. The One Shot today is a delightful capture (and memory) from rehearsals.

It is Day 275 of G.O’s service!! Do you realize that in less than a month he will hit the 300 day mark?! If you had any doubts that time would actually move swiftly, think again. You have to agree with me when I say the days are flying by! Even G.O mentioned during his recent chat that the time was going by quickly. For 274 days I have been doing my best to make everyone fall for G.O. How am I doing? It’s One Shot .gif day today so I went and dug up a Mona Lisa era performance of 알면서 그래 [I Think You Know] and created a swoon-worthy .gif. Well, I think it is swoon-worthy!

Yes, each day served is one day closer. Each day served is also a reminder of how much I do miss G.O. And it is not just his voice I miss, I miss his presence – you know, that ever-present possibility of him showing up on a stage somewhere, on television, in a musical. And….I really, really miss his smile. That genuine, ‘I’m feeling really good‘ kind of smile. The kind that is the subject of today’s One Shot, in .gif form.

There is no sweeter tonic for senses than an incandescently playful G.O. As I patiently await his return from military duties, I also wait for the moment he unleashes his playfulness upon us once again. There were countless numbers of pictures that were published of MBLAQ when they came back with their 8th mini album Mirror in June 2015. And as we were so ravenous to see them, it was fortunate that cameras were often in the vicinity every day during promotions. Apart from absolutely loving the music, I really appreciated the toned down sophisticated feel of Seung Ho, G.O and Mir’s visual presentation of their new material. Wearing soft, muted tones of black, grey, white or blue, there was an elegance in the clean and comfortable lines of the clothes they wore, especially G.O.

I think if I were to sit down and begin writing a list about all of the things I love about G.O, I would not be able to complete it in the 504 days left of his service. Definitely high on that list would be his playful nature. I think following Curtain Call he lost much of that playfulness but I think his recent appearance in Mir’s chatroom in MBLAQ’s Daum Cafe not too long ago is a promise that his playfulness has not disappeared entirely, and has simply been on hiatus. Back on 28 March 2014 however, he was as cheeky and playful as ever at the Yeouido Fan Sign and that is the subject of today’s One Shot .gif.
