In the early evening hours of Friday, 14 July, G.O served up his first Survival Report of July and quite possibly came close to breaking Instagram and the internet in the wake of it. With his steady updates since completing one year of service back in February of this year, we have seen him in various locales, all quite benign with the most notable locale being his beautiful recording studio. Never though has he opened the doors to the boudoir and invited us in. On Friday, he did just that and my rapid and irregular heart rate has yet to return to normal.

The point of G.O offering up survival reports is to ensure his adoring and patiently waiting fans that is he is healthy, happy and doing well. It may also serve to remind us that he is thinking of us as much as we are thinking of him. Whatever it is, he is making it more and more difficult to survive the reports; however, that in no way means he should stop! On the contrary, we need more like he shared back on 25 June for his No. 2 Survival Report of that month.

I recalled those words spoken by Rosalind in William Shakespeare’s play, As You Like It the moment my notifications panel lit up on the morning of Monday, 12 June (on my side of the planet) and I saw that G.O had shared yet another survival report update. I thought to myself, will he continue this relentless assault on our hearts, creating a desire for more and more as we count down the days of his return? Indeed he is spoiling us and making conditions ripe for the desiring. Nevertheless, I don’t think any of us believe that there could ever be too many G.O survival reports and/or updates of any kind  . . . ever.

While it is true that the majority of us are missing G.O as he completes his military service, you have to agree that he has been diligent and consistent in providing us updates (or as I like to call them, survival reports) throughout the course of his time away thus far. I mean, he has been REAL generous. Since February of this year, he seems to be on track with giving us monthly updates. He hit us hard for May (and it is only the middle of the month) with his Instagram post on the 13th. I think the squees, sighs and screams were heard worldwide when he hit the send button. Seriously.

I have to be honest, I am finding it difficult to concentrate on what I want to write about for this post because that picture up there is mesmerizing me to the point of distraction. For me, there is so much perfect going on in that picture from G.O’s gorgeous profile, elegant and graceful hand, to the black suit jacket and tie (I don’t know what it is about G.O in a suit that just unhinges me, but it does). Framed by the glow of the stage lights, he looked so at ease as he moved through the choreography of 전쟁이야 [This Is War] back on 17 May 2013 during MBLAQ’s Japan Mona Lisa Event. Today, I open The J-Files treasure chest to look back on the short and oh-so-sweet promotion of the release of MBLAQ’s Japanese version of Mona Lisa.

Today is a special day for me. It is a day I think I will continue to commemorate because it was on this day three years ago that I first met G.O. Yes, I am corny and nostalgic, I know. It really was sort of a life-changing event for me. A good one at that. This 413th day was originally a One Shot day on my countdown calendar, but since G.O gave us a lovely selca back on 31 March, and I am in happy anniversary to me mode,  I thought I would bump the one shot back a day in order to celebrate this latest update/survival report.

Many things must be going on atmospherically that we are not even aware of. For example, the biorhythms of the Earth must be tilting in the favor of every single one of G.O’s fans across the globe for I was certain he would pause updating his SNS after the generous offerings he shared in the month of February. But G.O is making it easy for us to keep expectations high. He continued to add to his Boyfriend Pic Selca Series library into March. OMG! I am not complaining, mind you. I’m not going to lie. It will be very easy to become accustomed to these surprise selca attacks. His generosity poured over into March when on the 10th, G.O updated his Instagram account once again with yet another selca. Oh my . . .
