I realize that every time I sit down to write about G.O for any one of these Countdown posts, it becomes an exercise of pouring out my love and admiration (and bias) for him and usually with absolute abandon. I admit my heart has no filter when it comes to expressing how I feel. But let’s face it, there is much to be admired. Today I simply want to revisit both the Samsung and Seoul Sangnam World Cup shows on 15 June 2011 and 19 June 2011, and drink in the beautiful sights and sounds (and light) of G.O looking iridescent and amazing in white.

The evolution of MBLAQ’s interpretation of 80’s singer/songwriter Cho Duk Bae’s 그대 내 맘에 들어오면은 [Come Into My Heart] from debut to when they sang it last together at the Curtain Call shows in November 2014 is evidenced by their own evolution as artists who were able to fully understand the beauty and foundation of a well-written and composed song, and make it their own.

The Soulful Countdown to G.O’s Discharge ~ Day 27

I recall after G.O sang Gwanghwamun Sonata on King of Masked Singer this past December, one of the judges commented that she never thought a man could sing a song more tenderly than a woman. She clearly has not given our G.O a close enough listen. Still, what an exemplary compliment to receive.

Sometimes it is impossible to single out a favorite MBLAQ song. But when I start to focus on specific criteria, like written and composed by G.O, for example, it narrows the selection. And even though I love each and every one of his songs in and of themselves that he has written and composed, it is 봄여름가을 그리고. . . [Spring Summer Autumn and . . .] that I must single out as my absolute favorite.

Another Year With MBLAQ – Happy 6th Anniversary!

The number 6 is considered the most harmonious of all single-digit numbers. The most important influence of the 6 is its loving and caring nature. Properly nicknamed the motherhood number, it is all about sacrificing, caring, healing, protecting and teaching others.

Our beloved men of MBLAQ are marking their sixth year together since their debut on October 15, 2009. In some respects it is bittersweet. For me, however, it is a celebration. Even though they have moved from 5 to 3, the fact of the matter is, they are still here.
