I have to be honest when I say that I have not made it through every single variety show, radio broadcast, performance or interview of G.O that has ever been captured. In fact, I am markedly behind (an embarrassingly so). When I finally see something that may be old in the sense that it happened five or more years ago, I am still filled with so much excitement. That kind of excitement that so many of you felt at the time of broadcast or capture. Hopefully, in my late discovery, you are able to relive the excitement once again yourselves. Furthermore, I hope it makes for a nice revisit or a catalyst to revisit something you perhaps have not watched or listened to in a long time. Maybe my post for today will be one of those because if you have not watched the online talk/variety Gurupop Show in a while, you might want to revisit the sweet and silly once again.
For purposes of this post, I will [naturally] be focusing on G.O’s participation on the Gurupop Show – even though the entire broadcast was a complete hoot, magnificently entertaining and fun. You know, because I am not multi-fandom, I actually have no way to know how the dynamics between members of other groups measure up to or compare to that of MBLAQ at the height of their popularity. I do know though that they set the bar pretty high and I could be easily persuaded to say that all others would pale in comparison. But enough of my praise…let’s get all fangirly shall we over the duly chosen most romantic member of MBLAQ and his cheeky and gregarious antics on the Gurupop Show back in September 2012.
So much was going on for G.O at the time of this broadcast. He was currently gracing the Immortal Song 2 stage, MBLAQ was in the midst of their Blaq% Asia Tour and the Korean drama 유령 [Ghost] had just finished airing in early August. Admittedly, he looked (as did the rest of guys) a bit tired, but was as cheeky and playful as the two high octane hosts of the show, Daniel and San E.
I thoroughly enjoyed the overall premise and concept of the show and really appreciated the theme of this particular episode: the most romantic member of MBLAQ. By order of the Gurupop Show audience, G.O was the chosen one. No surprise for this here fangirl!
Anyway, I am not going to belabored this post with my unnecessary ramblings and just share some G.O focused clips from the show. I will say I learned a few things:
- He hip hop pops in his sleep
- His choreography for 낙서 [Scribble] is riveting <hehe>
- He wants a big family – possibly five children
- His serenade to fan Sophia made me rather envious
- His favorite meal abroad was a t-bone steak in Las Vegas that was the size of a t-shirt <ㅎ.ㅎ>
- His quirky cake decorating theme was actually quite endearing [even though it received only 6% of the votes and came in last place]
By all accounts, G.O is still the most romantic to me.
