Before I add any G.O-inspired episode excerpts from Kim Soo Ro’s 명문대 특별반 엠블랙 [Special Class In An Elite University] to the countdown, I just want to enjoy the promotional pictures that were being circulated back in July 2010 when it was announced that MBLAQ would be joining Soo Ro on his program. It is Sunday and I don’t want to over do it!! Studious looking (once again those eyeglass frames – I think I am a little bit obsessed at the moment), wearing a cheeky vest and bow tie, G.O embraced his inner quirky college student persona and let all of that cute wrapped in some ridiculous handsome come out to play during the promotional photo shoot.
You know if I was a bona fide card-holding A+ during the spring and summer of 2010, I think I would have been losing my mind daily with all of the activity that came with Y promotions in May followed by the onslaught of variety show, radio show and live performances that were bombarding the fans at that time. And as much as I love (L.O.V.E.) the goatee on G.O, his softer look that emerged with Y, was ethereal and breathtaking. He was, is and continues to be one of the most beautiful men I have ever known (inside and out), but with Y came this iridescent glow that has remained with him to this very day. The photo shoot for 명문대 특별반 엠블랙 [Special Class In An Elite University] not only captured that fantastic glow, it captured G.O’s ever present playful side.
I realized here at almost Day 400, that I have not taken a look at Soo Ro’s variety show featuring MBLAQ and look forward to sharing some G.O moments from the show in the coming days. In fact, there is are so many variety moments that I have yet to revisit here as they are part of G.O’s journey. Somehow though I continue to feel the incredible urge to just hear him sing. I hope that should I fail to touch on the many variety moments in lieu of music moments, that you will still visit and get lost in G.O’s sublime vocal artistry by way of his incredible ability to tell a story through song.
