By the start of 2010, momentum was really picking up for MBLAQ. They were beginning to hit various variety shows, visit on-air radio programs, and of course lend themselves to various product endorsements. In March 2010, the love affair with TBJ Nearby began and the casual, comfortable and playful clothing line was a perfect fit for our ever gregarious main vocal man, G.O.
You know, I was not with MBLAQ since the beginning so I definitely missed out on of the excitement of them bursting onto the scene, feeling that anticipation of the how, the where, the what and the when fans would see them next. Their popularity was exploding, their fanbase growing, and they looked like they were having the time of their lives. Photoshoots were filled with levity, laughs and good times and the clothes….oy!!!
I think I have established that no matter what G.O wears, it just going to look good. From formal suit and tie to sweats and a hoodie (check out my 116 Reasons series post In The Hood to see his hoodie-style), to the classic jeans and t-shirts of TBJ Nearby, he ALWAYS looks good. Why?
Well, having a fine physique helps, true. But I think the real reason G.O always looks good is because he looks comfortable. Not only in what he is wearing but in just being HIMSELF.
During the Spring/Summer TBJ Nearby campaign, MBLAQ released their second mini album, Y. TBJ sponsored fan signs before and following the release and promotion of the album.
