As I sit down to gather my final thoughts about the musical 바람의나라 (The Kingdom of The Winds), and in particular, G.O’s gentle nuanced performance, I truly do not know where to begin. Before I stepped into the theatre to watch it unfold real-time, I did a little background check of the story so I would have some idea going in. Still, nothing could have prepared me for the powerful and emotional interpretation brought to the stage by the Seoul Arts Group or the tender, heart-wrenching performance by G.O in the role of Prince Hodong. G.O continues to shock and amaze me.

TVXQ Tuesday: Try My Love
As I slowly make my way through the vast discography of these five men, I notice one thing for sure. They were never bound by one certain genre of music. They have given us so many different versions of themselves and I so appreciate their openness to lacing various genres of music into their catalog. Admittedly, I love the ballads. But, having Junsu as my bias here and my amazing OTB (one true bias) G.O with MBLAQ, you have to know that I have a special weakness for soulful R&B. Try My Love is just that.
MBLAQ Musings: Prelude to The Kingdom of the Winds
I hadn’t even had time to catch my breath and absorb the complete wonder and splendor of Seopyeonje when my G.Oddess partner in all things G.O, Nelly (MyMyooz), messaged me that our beautiful bias was cast in another musical. Immediately after news broke regarding that fantastic news, I began seeing tweets and posts everywhere. But wait. G.O was single cast in a musical that was scheduled to open on May 11th when he still was in the throes of starring in Seopyeonje until May 8th? Was he crazy?? I thought, this must be a big deal. And, it was. See, The Kingdom of the Winds is a pretty prestigious musical that has its roots deeply set in the art world. G.O cast in a leading role in the musical was indeed a big deal. And one thing was for sure, I knew I was going to have to find a way to see it.
K-Shot Postscript: G.O (Jung Byung Hee) The Musical Seopyeonje – Final Thoughts
It is has been a little over a week since I returned home from Seoul and admittedly, I am still reeling from the after effects of seeing this extraordinary musical and, well, G.O! I thought I would offer some final thoughts on the musical and his wonderful performance.
The Fangirl Adventure Log: When Your Bias Notices YOU and Says Hello
Oh Byung Hee…….you really did make my recent visit to Seoul special beyond my wildest dreams. And following your curious inquisition as to where I was from, you continued to surprise me with your gregarious and delightful fan service.
Street Sounds & Heart-shaped Rice
Today I actually eased into the day slowly trying to get my footing in this new time zone. I am finally feeling acclimated. I am definitely becoming a K-Metro pro but have to say that this is perhaps the easiest public transportation situation ever. And the Metro stations are like little villages all unto themselves. You never know what you will find. I got duly sidetracked today by a Nature Republic store at the Express Bus Terminal stop. Skin care is a big deal here and admittedly I would have never known about this company had Rain not lent himself to advertise for them. Take a moment and sigh with me…..
Really though, I was on a mission to find more vegan food.
