I know I cannot possibly be the only one of G.O’s fans who, in addition to love hearing him sing, finds his speaking voice equally charming and soothing. Lately, I have been taking a different approach to learning Korean. Instead of initially pouring over a textbook, I have decided to log hours of just listening. Remember the Sweet Music Box broadcast on SBS radio G.O did back in 2010 with Jung Go Eun? Those have been my constant listening skills teaching companion this past month. It is helping but since I really love the tone and timbre of G.O’s voice, I get easily distracted from the task at hand. Nevertheless, learning this way is actually a pleasurable experience. But what does this have to do with anything? Well, it is Fan-Camming Friday and I decided upon a cam from the 15 April 2012 Daejeon fan sign where fans were regaled with one of G.O’s cheeky discussions.

I admit there are some residual feels lingering from Day 592, watching the playful antics of G.O and Mir together. There is something sweet and special about their brotherhood. Maybe it has something to do with the fact that they are both water signs or that they are both the baby brothers in their respective families. Then again, maybe it is something far simpler. Maybe they love and respect each other as friends, colleagues . . . brothers. My G.O One Shot today honors a little of that bromantical brotherhood in a couple of very sweet and darling captures of the two very charming baby brothers.

I think you will agree that the best G.O fan-camming moments are generally those captured of him singing – at least I know they are my personal favorite. There are some days though when I just like to watch him engage with fans and talk, even when I don’t understand all of what he is saying. This might sound a bit quirky, but to my ears, G.O has an equally nice speaking voice. The lower tone in his voice may not be as deep as say, Joon’s, but it has a deep resonance about it that is incredibly soothing to the ear (and heart). If you really want to get a taste of it, listen to him during radio broadcasts (especially the Sweet Music Box series he did with Jung Ga Eun). I don’t know what was in the air back on 24 August 2013 at MBLAQ’s Love Beat fan sign in Sinchon, but whatever it was certainly made G.O extra special chatty, playful and in some instances, impatient. It is another Fan-Camming Friday here on the countdown and I am opting for an eleven minute edit of G.O’s mischief in Sinchon. Unfortunately, there are no subtitles, but the video is entertaining nonetheless for whenever G.O playfully interacts with fans, fun is sure to be had.

Happy Friday! Another work week is coming to a close for our charming enlisted man and it is almost time to relax and enjoy the weekend. For this Fan-Camming Friday, I wanted something short, simple, quick and cute. I also was in the mood for a fan sign cam. There were definitely a lot of fun and antics going on at the many fan signs that took place during Sexy Beat promotions, and this short cam moment for today could indeed be one of them as our mischievous G.O turns the tables on fans by pointing a camera at them.

G.O is unquestionably the magnet that pulls the compass of my heart in his direction, in every way. True, I am smitten. And indeed every picture I see is his best, every performance better than the last and every fan sign fancam a golden treasure of his devout fan service. I have visited the 31 July 2011 Mokdong fan sign here on the Countdown awhile ago, but that was by way of photographs. Today is Fan-Camming Friday, and I want to return to Mokdong and that particular fan sign because I am simply in the mood for a soft G.O, in both his style and in the tranquil and sometimes coy gazes within which he looked out into the room at his loving A+.

Things on my side of the world have been a little off and weird as of late due to our present political climate so I am grateful to have my little escape passage here on the blog in this countdown series. Every time I sit down to write about G.O it feels good. Even when I have to write about his interpretation of a particularly heartbreaking song or a devastatingly emotional moment from the musical stage, I always end up happy to have shined some light on his indomitable talent. Although everything about him makes me smile, his playful fan sign moments are special kinds of treasures. Today I share one from the Sexy Beat fan sign in Masan back on 20 July 2013.

The thing I wish for the most for G.O, after insurmountable happiness, love and bombastic success of course, is that when he attends his first fan sign (either alone or with MBLAQ) post-military service, he regains the kind of excitement and happiness he experienced in fan signs of the past. You know, sort of like the Blaq% Coex fan sign on 29 March 2012, a focused fan-cam of which is the subject of today’s installment of Fan-Camming Friday.
