Waiting For Donghun ~ Day 92

I am not an artist, nor have I ever endeavored to be one, but common sense tells me that it is not an easy road to travel. Especially in the world of K-pop where so many begin training as early as middle school (maybe even earlier). I cannot imagine being 11 years old and having to face monthly evaluations of my singing, dancing, acting or whatever medium it is I have chosen to pursue. Now don’t get me wrong, if I had a child who was passionate about anything be it the arts, sports, anything really, I would encourage and nurture that passion with a keen focus on their mental well-being. Where am I going with all this? Well, I came across this VLive broadcast Donghun did back in September 2020 wherein he talked about the often elusive ‘first place’ win on any one of the given music programs K-pop artists and groups make the rounds on during comeback promotions. Waiting For Donghun ~ Day 61

I wish I could say that what happens on VLive, stays on VLive but the entire MO of our fave artists going live on their respective VLive channels is getting the opportunity to be spontaneous and, for the most part, unscripted. In the VLive clip I share today, Donghun gets the 411 from fans during his June 4, 2019 VLive that leader Jun not only ate Donghun’s jellies, he also rummaged through his bag. How will Dong Dong retaliate?!

Waiting For Donghun ~ Day 49

It has been quite interesting watching our favorite idols navigate these strange days of having to connect with fans remotely. Online concerts where audiences were broadcast on jumbotron-like screens that served as a backdrop to the empty studio and/or venue stages, their only interaction coming via a live chatroom the hosting platform provided to both artists and fans. Sure, they adjusted. We adjusted. Uploading pictures on various sns accounts available seemed to ramp up and so did live broadcasts. It’s true our favorite artists had to work extra special hard to stay in touch. A.C.E, who have always worked hard to maintain a steady connection with their Choice, are by far perhaps one of the most entertaining while doing so. Take for example, a quiet night of sharing a dessert that turned into an arm wrestling match between Donghun, Jun and Chan.
