I think it is safe to say that of the many characteristics we all find so endearing about Rain, his genuine love of food is perhaps one of the favorites.

It no surprise then when we catch him in food-oriented commercial films. As I progress with this series, I am finding that the food CFs top my list as most enjoyable (and definitely where he rocks the cuteness to the nth degree). Rain does not need to act or feign enjoyment of eating. This is a true pleasure for him.

The Korea Ministry for Food, Agriculture, Forestry and Fisheries let the splendor of Korea’s landscape collide with tasty Korean cuisine then added that special ingredient: Rain, for their GrEAT Korea campaign. The level of delicious is probably beyond that which any taste bud could reasonably tolerate!

New, modern, and high-tech, this new development offered a plethora of amenities if you chose to live in one of its exquisitely designed and architecturally harmonious apartments. Complete with a Lotte Modern Cineplex, the Cantavil Premier had it all. And they had one very famous world star to tell you all about it.

Rain just oozes style and class. So he was the perfect spokesperson for a new and classy housing development. I absolutely adore young, baby Bi!!

His very early endorsements just make me feel all warm and fuzzy probably because he exudes such pure energetic innocence. There is something so endearing and honest about him and that is something that is consistently present in all he does. There is no pretense with Rain. What you see is what you get. I admire that about him. That honesty is always present be it in his live stage performances or on the screen, CFs included. I refuse to believe he has it in him to fake the kind of fun he seems to have in these early commercial films!

In this early CF, however, that innocence I was talking about went right out the window. This here is kind of pushing the provocative envelope, if you ask me!! The only thing remotely innocent in this one…

In my opinion, this is brilliant. Was there really any question who would be best able to endorse a product that, well, generates heat?

Rain is the very definition (and essence) of hot so signing him on to endorse Rinnai Heating Systems was, on one hand, a no brainer, and on the other, another display of sheer marketing genius!

When I watched this ad, I was convinced the advertising team was made up solely of women!! Let’s look at the evidence.

First, Rain walking with shirt open, the warm breeze on his skin. Second, Rain casually sitting in his apartment as if he were inviting you in for a glass of wine. Imagine you are all of about 19 or 20 years old and have just spent the better part of your teenage years hungry, and hungry on several different levels. Now imagine your manager comes up to you one day early in your career and asks, “Are you interested in doing a CF where you will probably have to eat ice cream all day?” I am sure a very young and eager Rain did not hesitate in the least bit when answering that question and jumped right into endorsing Binggrae Ice Cream. Stalking: Bi Rain & Yoo Seung Ho

This really turned out to be a super delicious Sunday!!♥♥

My world just collided beautifully! Seriously, how can I sleep in peace everyday now knowing there are more of these out there in net world? Woke up this morning and was presented by Michele of Your Daily K-Shot of Hot this grand CF and my cherry popped right away! You can’t ask for more when Rain and Seung Ho are in the same commercials showing us some of their daebak actions! It feels so surreal having to see them up close and be in the own real skin. This is a 2011 commercial for Adidas for winter workout. For all I know, the workout gear shown mostly at the beginning of 5 seconds and the rest mainly focusing on the actors being comfortable in their workout gear and moves!

I feel like this is a celestial event. You know, the kind of thing that happens every 5000 years or something!! I just finished up and posted Yoo Seung Ho as my latest K-Shot, as you know, and Rain awhile ago. I knew when I decided to blog about the delicious men of the K-entertainment world that the amount of information out there would be so vast and wide, it would be next to impossible to find ALL of it, and indeed impossible to include in a single post. Hence, the K-Shot Postcript. My dear friend and fellow blogger, Stephe at Cloud USA and over at stephethornton.com has been a wonderful supporter of all I do over here (so much so she offered me a position on the Cloud USA staff as a writer) so I have her to thank for thunking me over the head with this one. When was the last time a commercial made you cry? Has one ever made you cry? Maybe this one might push you to the verge of waterworks just a little bit, especially if you are a hopeless romantic like me and you adore Rain.

One of the best discoveries I have made since falling down the K-rabbit hole is the commercial film (CF). In my opinion, these mini-productions are given the same care, attention and importance as any film or drama. I love that dedication and respect for this particular genre in Asia – it is art after all. The extended commercial films are pure entertainment and marketing gold.
