[event] Merry MBLAQ Christmas Packages: Thank You

All packages have been sent (recipient, nominator, nominee). I can only hope that all on the receiving end who never confirmed receipt did in fact receive their packages safely (some are still in transit). The packages left my care with a hug, a kiss, and a smile. From there, they were on their own to arrive to their final destinations. I have to say, I enjoyed putting each and every one of the packages together. It was indeed a labor of love. However, I am happy and extraordinarily relieved the event is over.

The one true and amazing gift that I am taking away from this event (yeah, it ‘s true that when you give, you receive) is having had the opportunity to meet more A+ on a deeper level. True I may have seen many hopping around my Twitter and/or Instagram feed now and again, but I have not made that one-on-one personal connect with many of them (USA+ included). Now, not only do I know what part of the world many call home, I also know a bit more about who they are, what they like, how they came to love MBLAQ, who their bias is (I discovered our glorious, classy and elegant leader Seung Ho holds the keys to many, many hearts), and why they love MBLAQ.

Many probably wonder: why did Michele hold an event such as this and why would she want to part with items in her own MBLAQ collection? The answer is simple: To share my love for MBLAQ. I had no ulterior motives, I expected nothing in return…well, ok, maybe a ‘thank you’.^^ I just wanted to share my love for these amazing men, past and present ~ all five of them. I can assure you that I have not exhausted my collection in its entirety, nor did I part with some truly special treasures in that collection. I may be generous, but I am not that generous!!~^^

Perhaps my number one reason for doing anything remotely MBLAQ-related is done because of that guy up there, Jung Byung Hee….G.O….MBLAQ’s Main Vocal….or as I like to refer to him as, Sweet Music Man. I am sure I have mentioned this in the past somewhere here on this blog, because it is true: G.O simultaneously destroys and inspires me. There were times when I was feeling heartbroken when a recipient did not respond to tell me she had received the package safely, did not say thanks, or if the response was less than enthused. I thought, did I not send enough? Did I not send something that was good, nice and/or treasurable? So many thoughts filled my head and made my heart ache. But then I paused. And in that moment, suddenly all of those thoughts evaporated and my mind went directly to G.O, the man who is the fuel that ignites the very engine of my fangirl heart and helps it safely navigate the good, the bad and the ugly (at times) of the fandom.

I found calm when I realized that I could not control how others choose to respond to me or my generosity, nor could I control how they act and/or think. But, I certainly could control how I respond, how I act, and how I think. And my choice was and is simple: I choose to respond with love. I choose to act with love, and I choose to only think with love. Because at the end of the day, this really was all about love.

I am happy to announce that the Merry MBLAQ Christmas Packages event is officially over. I told myself that if only one recipient was happy, then I have done well. So far, the fangirl squee/spazz return on my investment has been better than I anticipated! And some packages are still in transit so I am confident my fangirl portfolio will burst with more spazz after all packages have been received .

I will be honest when I say that an event like this will be the last of its kind. That is not to say that I won’t launch a surprise letter and/or treasure (or two) on some deserving A+ in the future. I have been known to do that so it could happen! Never underestimate the power of a random act of kindness – you should try it sometime, you might like it!~^^
