‘Tis the Season To Be Liebstered

liebsterLabelsFinal

I am touched, honored and pleased to have been bestowed with two Liebster Award nods from two delightful fellow bloggers (and Jang Hyuk-loving fangirls), Stuck On Hyuk and Ahjussi Fan. Thank you my dears for this lovely honor.

The blogosphere is an amazing place filled with many amazing people writing about all kinds of amazing things. I am happy to be a resident here along with Stuck on Hyuk and Ahjussi Fan whose blogs are solid places to find a whole lot of Jang Hyuk love and other K and J-loving goodies! On to the Liebster…..

htm_2007042519221502020000020201-1

So what is The Liebster exactly? It is an internet-based award so no need to go out and buy that sparkly dress and heels! It originated out of Germany I believe in around 2010. That is what my Liebster research has revealed to me. The word ‘liebster’ means dearest, beloved or favorite in German. That makes getting a nomination all that much sweeter, in my opinion. It is a blog award given out to bloggers by fellow bloggers to encourage blogging (is that too redundant??!) and to introduce blogs to others. There are rules and here they are:

1. Post the award on your blog.

2. Thank the blogger(s) who presented this award and link back to their blog.

3. Write 11 random facts about yourself.

4. Answer 10 questions posted by the presenter and ask your nominees 10 questions.

5. Nominate 10 bloggers who you feel deserve this award and who have less than 200 followers.

Number 1 – check. Number 2 – check. So let me proceed with 11 random facts about myself.

korean

1.  I am learning Korean and met my current Korean tutor at a Korean cultural program in Washington, DC in May 2013 where Rain (a sergeant in the ROK Army at the time) performed. She was sitting right behind me. I felt it was destiny that Rain brought us together. But I am weird that way.

vegan21

2.  I am a vegan. I haven’t always been one. I became vegetarian in 1987 and vegan in 1999. I am not militant nor soapboxy about it – I just don’t eat animals. ^.^

Hey girl SJ

3.  I just recently started Pure Barre classes. I don’t know how I am able to speak, walk or function following a class. Either I am becoming a complete wimp in my old age or this is just one excruciating and grueling workout.

jean-claude-van-damme-20060815-152325

4. I once served Jean-Claude Van Damme a cup of tea at a cafe in Santa Monica, California.

kale-benefits-1

5. I love kale and eat it every day.

photo-90

6. I got my first (and only) tattoo last year. In a momentary lapse of fangirl haze, I branded Rain’s name on my left ankle. Yep, I sure did. ^.^

books

7.  I love to read but refuse to read books electronically (i.e. Kindle, Nook, etc.). I am old school and love the feel of holding a book and turning the pages. I own many books and house many of them in an antique bookcase that belonged to my mother as a child. I am sappy and sentimental.

8. I dance in the shower and have had only one complete wipe out. >.< Fortunately, I was not injured nor did my shower have to be reconstructed in the wake of  that complete fail.

9. I collect cameras and have a collection of antique cameras I inherited from my grandfather. They all still function and I would love to learn all about the subtleties and nuances of photography in order to use the cameras more often (and properly).

longboard-surfing

10.  When I turned 40 years old I bought a surfboard and learned how to surf. I was living in California at the time and moved from the valley (inland) to the beach so it seemed like the thing to do and a fine way to usher in 40!

0111.  I am an excellent navigator and map reader. Back in ancient times before the internet I planned all of my travel using paper maps. I always felt the free atlas that came with my very first magazine subscription ever (Time Magazine) was a book of dreams and I read it as an adventure novel that enticed and fed my desire to travel and see the world.

And now the questions from Ahjussi Fan:

1. What is your favorite movie? – from any country

I really have too many to choose only one – but one of my all time faves is Wings of Desire. It is such a beautiful film, poetic with gorgeous B&W cinematography.

2. What is the most wonderful thing that happened in your life.

Reconciling with my father after learning he was dying and being able to have the opportunity for us to both make our peace with each other. Probably one of the best decisions I ever made in my life.

3. What are you doing right now other than answering this question.

Listening to music.

4. If you were given USD 10,000 what will you do with that money? Please don’t save it.

I would donate some of it to a charity and travel with the leftovers!

5. Android or iPhone?

iPhone but thinking of going Galaxy 4S. ^^

6. Do you have someone you want to punch at this current moment?

No….not at all.

7. Express yourself in 3 words

Generous. Stubborn. Impulsive.

8. Express your k-drama crush in 3 words.

Talented. Sexy. Adorkable.

9. What is your favorite korean phrases?

너무 보고 싶었어요. (Neomoo bogoshipeoyo – I miss you so much.)
진짜?! (Jinjja?! – Really?!)
좋아해요 (Johayo –  I like it/you)

10. Coffee or tea or milk?

Tea.

And, from Stuck on Hyuk:

1.  If you are going to a desert island, and you can only take 3 k-dramas with you, which will they be and why?

Coffee-Prince-the-1st-shop-of-coffee-prince-34780482-1280-720

The First Shop of Coffee Prince – A sentimental favorite as it was my first drama. It also is just thoroughly enjoyable with a bright and lively cast, good music and a very hot Gong Yoo. It is one of my all time faves, thus far.

Full House Cast

Full House. Rain. That is why. Do I need any other reason?!! ^^

D31 BDS_PO2s

Warrior Baek Dong Soo. I absolutely LOVED this drama. I am a big fan of the sageuk and this one just hit it out of the ballpark for me from the acting, the cinematography, the supporting cast, to the OST – I thought it was spectacular. Then there was the bromance between Dong Soo (played by Ji Chang Wook) and Yeo Woon (played by Yoo Seung Ho). It was both beautiful and agonizing.

Can I also bring Operational Proposal, please?

op7

I want to bring this one because of Yoo Seung Ho (of course) but also as a reminder that in order to effect change in life, you cannot hope to go back to simply change decisions or, ‘do over’ but rather allow for change to come within yourself. I thought this drama was a beautiful commentary on that.

2. You are on the same desert island and you can make only three k-hotties to come spend time with you. Who will they be, and what would each be in charge of? (Who would do the cooking, etc?)

Rain. Oh my Rain….he would definitely be in charge of the food as he is such a foodie himself. Rain would also be my personal body-guard and protectorate from cannibals and island baddies (I watched way too much Lost) because he was a kickass ninja – if you recall, and he got skills!

ninja-assassin1

And, even though he was a complete badass as Raizo, I still believe Rain is a true tender heart and he would probably make sure I was pampered even amid the desolate, far from the comforts of home locale of a deserted island.  I know he would make sure I ate and ate well. Yes, I would want Rain on that island with me!

G.O. of MBLAQ. In that I am completely crushing on G.O incessantly at the moment, he would have to be on that island also. This would work out good because G.O and Rain know each other. For one, they could collab and be my entertainment on the island. Gosh…to hear the two of them sing together would be heavenly. Oh, and they would have to dance for me, too.

G.O’s specific duty, however, would be massage therapy. After a hard day of cutting down coconuts and gathering fire wood, I suspect I would be achy and in need of a good massage. G.O has the most incredible hands and I can only imagine the kind of magic they would work. I feel a flail attack about to happen…..!! He would also provide the serene background ambiance music with his sublime vocal abilities while effectuating that massage.

GO gorgeous hands

THUNK!!!

Song Joong Ki. He would have come in his Yeo Rim form from SKKS!! Oh my that cheeky monkey would keep me so entertained. Likewise he would be in charge of sprucing my hut (or cave) up using his wicked decorating skills and discerning eye. He would make everything so very pretty.

Song-Joong-Ki5

And, I would always be able to count on him for a cheeky wink of encouragement when (and if – highly doubtful) I would get homesick. He is, after all: Gu Yong Ha!! ^^ (I LOVED him in this role!!)

3.  (DramaFan) am still not familiar with Kpop. What is the one korean singer I must definitely listen to, and which are his/her best songs?

tumblr_mzrwurss0C1rf1ef4o1_500

G.O from MBLAQ. Prior to joining MBLAQ, he was part of an R&B trio called TyKeys. And they are THE BOMB!! But all of his work with MBLAQ is stellar and solo work, wonderful. (I am extremely biased and in heavy throes of fangirling over the sexy Jung Byung Hee).  EVERYTHING G.O sings is his best song. ^.^ And, Nelly over at MyMyooz can totally back me up on this!!  That said, one of my faves right now is a duet he sang with JeA of Brown-Eyed Girls. G.O’s voice is just so…..so….SO GOOD!!

Please, listen….

From his TyKeys songbook, Get Down:

js

I also recommend Kim Junsu of TVXQ and JYJ fame. I love Junsu’s voice as part of each group, and as a solo artist. He is also well adept at handling the theatrical stage. He has a big, beautiful voice that I never tire of listening to. One of my absolute favorite songs of his is off of his second solo album, Incredible. The song is called Rainy Eyes.

4. The next time I go to a korean restaurant, what should I definitely order?

Bibimbap!!! It’s yum!

5. What was your first Kdrama crush?

Very first was Gong Yoo thanks to Coffee Prince. Then I went on a Hyun Bin binge after Worlds Within. Finally, Rain trumped them all. But I will admit to heavy (coming close to unseating Rain) crushing on G.O . And have had minor spazzing over Lee Min Ho, Yoo Seung Ho, Ji Chang Wook, Park Yoochun, and Sung Joon, respectively. G.O is leaving everyone in the dust at present.

6. What is the maximum number of episodes you have watched in a day? (Gumi: My record is 14, it was when I was on a Chuno run:P)

I believe it was 6 – Coffee Prince.

7. Which is the Kdrama cliche you just can’t stand?

The evil controlling mother (birth, step, adopted or otherwise).

8. Which is the Kdrama cliche you actually enjoy?

The piggyback. So far, one of my faves has to be Gong Yoo and Yoon Eun Hye in Coffee Prince. Theirs was just wonderful, sweet and natural.

CP Piggy back

9. Who is your favorite korean actress?

Is it bad that I don’t focus on the ladies when I watch K-dramas???!! I don’t think I have seen enough to adequately choose a favorite but how about a couple of performances that I really loved.

shin min ah

Shin Min Ah in Arang. Even when she was making the most outrageously stupid decisions I still loved her because she so encompassed that role and just ran with it (literally…the girl ran so much in that drama she tired even me out!!) She was the perfect match for Lee Jun Ki’s Eun Oh and I loved that she was both vulnerable and feisty.

PMY SKKS

Park Min Young in Sungkyunkwan Scandal. I thought she was perfect for the role and I believed her every step of the way. I loved that her Kim Yoon Hee was whip smart, diligent and courageous. I also LOVED the way Yoochun’s Lee Sun Joon looked at her – even when he thought she was a boy. So swoony. (See how the thoughts invariably go back to the boy??)

10. Tell us your favorite Kdrama OST?

Warrior-Baek-Dong-Soo-OST

At the moment, it is Warrior Baek Dong Soo. It is just incredibly good.

Ok, so now is the time I nominate some fellow bloggers and unleash my questions. I am going to circle around first and foremost and extend nominations to both of my nominators, Stuck on Hyuk and Ajhussi Fan – come on, being Liebstered is fun!!! My other nominees are:

My Myooz – Nellie is most assuredly my little sister from another mother. I thank the K-gods above for letting our blogging paths cross. She is a prolific blogger which is only matched by her ability to ingest many dramas all at once along with the eumak!!! Nellie loves music and I love that she introduces something to us weekly. If you have a chance to watch a drama simultaneously with Nellie, I recommend it – no matter how melo or intense (we did Warrior Baek Dong Soo and Five Fingers together), there is always room for Nellie’s bright and gregarious humor.

Asia Fixations – Janey’s blog is sublime and I love that she admits to ranting about ‘cute namjas’!!! Janey is also a fellow TVXQ-er and is Changmin-biased which works out good because we all know my guy is Junsu!!

The Things I Do For Love – Angel Mariel is a sister Cloud (i.e. Rain fan) and that is how I came to know her. Her blog is light, airy and carefree much like herself. You just feel her smile through her writing. And, she writes about everything.

The Drama Noona – Unpredictable squees….that says it all for me!!! Jaime and I both share a blog veteran and most accommodating seonsangnim in Kfangurl (The Fangirl Verdict) who has been an ardent cheerleader for us both.  I thought I was following Jaime’s blog. but apparently I missed the click!! I am all good now. Definitely a place you can get your squee on! Oh, and I am totally jelly over her headers!

I am good with these six noms so here are the questions:

1. You are the star of your very own noona romance drama. Who is the younger man who will win your heart and how will he do it?

2. Who do you believe is the K-star that can deliver the best and most believable kiss?

3. Which K-pop star who hasn’t crossed over into acting would you like to see in a drama or film?

4. Which character from a drama (or film) would you be ok with introducing to your mother and why?

5. Sageuk – yay or nay?

6.  Which K-star (drama or pop) would make you leave the comforts of your home in order to attend a fan meet?

7. Do you have a genre preference (historical, melo, romcom) and if so, which and why?

8. Do you have a drama watching partner? If so, who?

9. Have you ever dissed family or friends to watch K-drama (hehehehe)?

10. Do you have a fave ‘ship? If so, who?

*The End*

Tee hee!! SUCH A FUN READ, Michele!! 😀 Even though I feel like I already knew quite a bit about you, I learned even more about you through this post, and that’s just awesome! I was tickled pink that you’d served tea to Jean-Claude Van Damme, and suitably impressed at how you ushered in your 40th birthday with surfing!! You’re a cool girl, you are ^^ And I’m super glad you didn’t hurt yourself while dancing in the shower! And that little story about your reconciliation with you dad totally moved me. ❤

Thanks for the shout-out, I don’t know if I qualify to be referred to as a blog veteran, but thank you! *feelin’ all sunbae-ed up* 😀

PS: that pic of Rain in ninja form made me a little glassy-eyed. Very, very nice indeed!

    • Michele says:

Yes dear you are a vet…maybe more of a K-drama vet, but in my eyes, you are a seasoned blogger because of the time, thought and LOVE you put into yours. You know how I feel about what you do and how you do it! And you also know how much I appreciate your guidance. So yes, wear that sunbae crown proudly!

Thank you for your kind words (and never-ending encouragement). It really means so much to me coming from you because if I am not mistaken, the whole K-Shot thing bloomed out of one of our many outrageously hilarious conversations about the K-men that set us both on fi—yah!!! Squeeing (and swooning…thank you Mr. Park Yoo Chun, Mr. Yoo Ah In and Mr. Song Joong Ki) with you real time through a drama was a blast and I look forward to seeing you go all incoherent as we begin our next one. You know why and you who will render you thusly!! You won’t escape it and I get to watch. Bwaaahahahaaaha!!

Thank you always..from my heart! *HUGS*HUGS*HUGS*

PS…I always love it when Rain can make you go glass-eyed!!

      • kfangurl says:

Omona. Just imagining the Woobie awesome is rendering me somewhat incoherent..! I don’t know if you’ll have much more than a blubbering mess on the other end of the line, Michele! XD

And yes, the k-shot of hot was from one of our hysterical spazz-out conversations. Good times – And great work. 😉

Oh, that pic of Rain does me in, I tell ya. So sexay. In a rather.. primal sort of way. Which is hawt.

      • Michele says:

I seriously cannot wait to (1) watch this drama with you and (2) watch you, the ever so elegantly articulate being that you are, become a blubbering mess. This is going to be an epic watch on all levels!!!

Primal Rain….yes, we like a primal Rain verrrrry much! <3

  2. Janey says:

This is such a fun read! I love how it’s so random, even mentioning Jean-Claude Van Damme! Haha! I thoroughly had fun reading it. I’d love to meet you (which is quite impossible I think!) because you seem to be a blast! 🙂

Unnie, thank you so much for the nomination! I googled what ~sublime~ means not because I don’t understand what it means because it’s the first time someone described my blog as such. Such an honor! Haha

Also, you deserve to be nominated numerous times! If only I could return the nomination right back at you~ ^^

    • Michele says:

Thank you, Janey. Yes, Jean Claude Van Damme is rather random, isn’t he? I will say that he was very nice, friendly and polite. He asked me to bring him a cup of tea and I did. When you live in Southern California (I did for about 4 1/2 years) you are bound to run into a celeb at some point. I toggled between writing about that one or of the time I blocked Jamie Lee Curtis from getting into her car because I had a mountain of farmers’ market bags blocking her pathway!!! She is as lovely and nice as her smile indicates!

There is something so soft and sublime that I could not pass using that word to describe it! Keep doing what you do because is it lovely! I look forward to your responses to the questions. Take your time – I know blogging is busy busy work!! ^.^

      • Michele says:

Hi Janey! You are such a doll! I enjoyed reading your answers and think Sung Joon is a pretty solid choice for a noona romance. This is how much of a newbie I still am……I started watching I Need Romance 3. Why? Well, because G.O has a song on the OST, that’s why!! HAHAHA

Then I got completely sucked in and kept scratching my head over Sung Joon. Oh.so.swoony. And he was so familiar to me only I could not place him. It was driving me nuts so I had to google him and find out where I had seen him before (if at all). Sure enough, it was one of the earlier dramas I watched in my short history, Lie To Me. I felt better that I wasn’t losing my mind or imagining that I recognized him!! He is wonderful in INR3 and ANY noona in her right mind would fight to get to the front of the line to be his girl!! Joo Won is just…..mmmm – lovely!

Thank you so much for taking the time to answer my quirky questions and for sharing them! You are so delightful and adorable! And, I am going to take you up on your suggestion for my next TVXQ Tuesday post!

        **HUGS** ^^

  3. Jaime the Drama Noona says:

I’m going to answer your questions now! But because you’re so sweet and I’m easily distracted, I made these as a thank you gift for the nomination!

    http://i941.photobucket.com/albums/ad257/dramanoona/Michele_header_Song-Joong-Ki_01_zpsaf1b0bed.jpg
    http://i941.photobucket.com/albums/ad257/dramanoona/Michele_header_Rain_01_zpsf593fa9f.jpg

I’m honored that you like my headers! I am slowly (painfully) reteaching myself photoshop so its good to hear that my attempts at banners are appreciated. So now you have two! I tried to also do GO but couldn’t find a picture that I could easily work with.

And consider yourself Liebstered! You can see the questions here 😛
    http://thedramanoona.wordpress.com/2014/01/21/liebster-award/

      • Michele says:

YEAH!!! I am heading over now to check it out! Also, thank you, thank you, thank you for the lovely headers!!! OMG…love! I will promptly be loading those up now, too! I really need to get over my fear of GIMP and/or Photoshop. I have played it so safe with Pixlr and after seeing yours and Kfangurl’s (mind-boggling) I really want to get better and more creative with them. I refuse to let the small canvas size prohibit me! Thank you again so very much..and wait did you say threw a Liebster to me? Da’wwwww! Gamsahamnida!!

      • Jaime the Drama Noona says:

You are so very welcome! If you want a few more please let me know. I actually really enjoy making headers. And the more I practice the more I remember my photoshop skills! So toss out some names and I’ll see what I can come up with when I’m making headers again. You’re so sweet! I think you’ve done a great job so far with the headers that you have! They are very hot! 🙂

Hehe yes I did throw a Liebster at you, but its fluffy and squishy and just wants to cuddle 😉

      • Michele says:

I love a Liebster that wants to cuddle!!! ^.^ Thank you!! Thank you also for the nom. I am working on those answers! Ooohh…omo, ok – headers. Let’s see, since you were not able to find a good G.O pic candidate, how about a MBLAQ group one? Yeah, I love those boys, so a MBLAQ one would be nice. Or Kim Junsu (from JYJ). I love Junsu. And I think he has a very unique look and such a pure smile. He’s lovely!

I have to admit that I am kind of jelly (again) that you have a drama watching partner!!! And love it even more that it is your hubs. That rocks! To have your siggy other on board must be as sweet as a chocolate cupcake with chocolate icing AND chocolate sprinkles!!!

My family thinks I am a complete lunatic. This confirms that I must have been switched at birth. They keep denying it, but somehow I think I am right. Haahaha! So Kfangurl and Nelly have become my k-drama family of sorts and I have been able to watch with them. Even though the miles separate us, we still have been able to get our collective squee and swoons on watching drama together.

I am SO happy you are enjoying Sungkyunkwan Scandal. I LOVED LOVED LOVED it!! I had been wanting to see it and that is one that Kfangurl and I watched together. What a blast! Oh but I was swooning all over the place over Park Yoochun. I already had a strong appreciation for him through his musical career with with TVXQ and JYJ and had only seen him as an actor in I Miss You (which was a hard watch – I don’t recommend, by the way) and although I thought he held his own pretty well in that one, I was in it for Yoo Seung Ho but even he could not save that sinking ship!!! In SKKS, however, PYC is so lovely. His character is so restrained, stoic, intelligent, upstanding, principled and so adorably sweet as he begins to fall in love. Some women may find that type boring but I loved him. And he rocks the sageuk look. I LOVE sageuk! I think your intro to it with SKKS is perfect. ^^ I look forward to your thoughts on it once you finish it. <3

      • Jaime the Drama Noona says:

Cuddly Liebsters really are the best! I’ve got a few pictures collected of your options! Once I have time for header/banner making I’ll whip up a few for you! I’ve got a few I want to make for myself too hehe and once I get in the header making zone the more projects I have set up the better.

I lucked out for sure! Well he went from making fun of my K-Drama addiction to now needing a list of options for when our current drama ends lol. He won’t admit it yet, but he’s completely hooked already. The rest of my family thinks I’m crazy and will tell me that often. My gamily group knows of my addiction too and they don’t miss a chance to make fun of me. It’s much easier to manage now that I have the hubs to watch with because he gets my back. I would love-love-love to watch a drama long distance with you, Kfangirl and Nelly! That would be so amazing! I’m jealous that you were able to do that!

I haven’t gotten to watch as much of SKKS as I have wanted to, work hasn’t slowed down like I anticipated. Combined with the fact I am live watching two drams (omo what did I agree to? :P) and I’m watching a drama with the hubby combined with being a mama with a 5 year old… yeah it hasn’t gone quite as planned. However, the few episodes that I’ve seen I love! I am in love with Yoo Chun, his character is amazing and I love the stoic and noble quality of the character.

      • Michele says:

Jaime…I am so stoked you are loving on Yoo Chun in SKKS. It would be sooooo easy to fall under the spells of who Kfangurl and I call the Sexy Monkey – Moon Jae Shin or the Cheeky Monkey, Gu Yong Ha- but, it’s the Tender Monkey, Lee Sun Joon who just kept me breathless throughout the entire drama – even when he was being stodgy!! Underneath it all he was a true gentleman, tender and sweet, and when he fell in love, well my goodness – saaa-wooon! Loved him.

Thanking you again for the headers and for those to come in the future!!

It would be epic if you, Kfangurl, Nelly and I were able to coordinate our schedules so that we could drama together real time. I had so much fun with both of those ladies and I loved it so much because it gave me my much needed drama watching partner! The levels of squee, flail and otherwise probably could not be measured with existing technology!!

We need to pow wow and discuss. If there is way to get it done, K-drama fans are more than capable. ^^

My hat off to you my dear for juggling drama, mommyhood, wifeyhood, a blog and a job. I am single and on my own and I can’t find enough time in the day to get everything done.. *bows to you*

I look forward to your final thoughts on SKKS. Isn’t the OST nice, too? Such a delightful drama with enough eye candy to put one in a sugar coma! ^^ Seriously.

      • Jaime the Drama Noona says:

So far I am loving all the male leads in SKKS hehe. They each have an aspect that I love in a leading man. However, it is so refreshing to see a gentleman as the lead in a drama that I’m pretty much head over heels in love with Yoo Chun right now and I’m only a few episodes in! Omo the names! They are so perfect! All the monkeys, haha! Now that is all I’ll think when I see them. Which is fantastic.

Of course! I’m really glad you liked the headers! They were just quickly put together, I’m still way busier than I had thought with work. And work doesn’t seem to be slowing down anytime soon. But next weekend is looking good for me to just veg with dramas and do some graphics work. So I’ll get them out to you soon!

It would be magnificent and epic if all of us could get together for a watch of anything! Even if it was just a few episodes! Man this needs to happen. We’ll have to whisper the idea to Kfangirl and Nelly so we can get this thing moving haha. I think we could use google hangouts as our platform, you can have multiple people in a chat and sharing a video I think… but I’d have to do some research.

Aww thank you chingu! My life is somewhat full, but really I wouldn’t change it for anything! Plus I’ve gotten the hubby on the K-drama train and my son LOVES watching Running Man and Pororo!

I’m pretty sure SKKS will be in my top ten whenever I find time again to watch it lol.

      • Michele says:

Ahhhhhhh,Omg!! Thank you, Jaime, THANK YOU! And you even captured G.O’s hand! **flails** Love them all! Thank you so much!♡♡

      • Michele says:

Heehheee, if my eyes are not fooling me, I think first header might actually be Jaejoong, Junsu’s bandmate in JYJ! Jae is very pretty and I love, love, love. He also has so many different looks. OMGosh, his voice is so velvety and he is an amazing lyricist and composer. Any of the boys associated with TVXQ/JYJ are heart rate accelerators!! And ALL are welcome here! ^^ Thank you, thank you, thank you…again and over!! I want to make pretty headers!! Waaaah!!! ^^

      • Jaime the Drama Noona says:

Oh no! Color me embarrassed! I’m sorry! I’m such a newb! I’ll just have to do another image search then to make up for the mistaken identity. I’ve not listened to TVX/JYJ yet, but my K-pop adventures are still very limited! I’m super happy that you like the headers even with the mess up! I’d be happy to help you learn!!!

Gaaaaahhhhh, gomawoyo eonnie! I should have nominated you earlier instead of you doing this to me! Your questions are tricky! Did you do with me in mind???? You know I’ll have a hard time deciding!

Thank you so much for the nomination! I really think we are kpop sisters! I really can’t wait to go to MBLAQ concert with you this year!

I know I nominated you in the last round…but I could not resist giving you another one!!! And, yes…guilty, I did think up some of these with you in mind. We have been sharing a lot of squee time together and no one and I mean NO ONE can weather my G.O obsession the way you can. Apart from being a total sweetheart, THAT is huge for me!!

I heard those sexy MBLAQ boys will be in Mexico in May so I am wondering if they will jog a bit north following. We will have ourselves an interesting start of the summer and YES – VIP, front row seats (well, since we cannot actually sit in G.O’s lap while he performs) for any concert they throw at us here in North America. I’m ready and I know you are too!!

It was my complete pleasure nominating you! <3

You are so much fun! so active and adventurous (I envy you, since Im the lazy type and only adventurous with food) I sing in the shower, but dancing? now that’s original! and dangerous? lol! Your desert island sounds so much fun! I will definitely come visit 😀 I love the piggy back ride cliche too! And there is absolutely nothing wrong with not been able to focus on the ladies when watching k-drama 😉 I totally identify with this!

    • Michele says:

Heeheheee…I should give the ladies a little more attention when I watch as I am sure there are very strong leads out there. I actually really liked Shin Min Ah in A Love to Kill also. She is this gorgeous being with an natural down-to-earthy feel. As I have tended to choose dramas for the male leads (although I chose I Need Romance 3 based on the fact that G.O has a song on the on the OST), it would be nice to choose one based on the actress.

I really liked Bae Doona in God (Master) of Study. And in reading up on her, she seems like a pretty accomplished actress. I will most likely check out more of her work.

By the way, I limit my dancing in the shower days because of the inherent danger – but sometimes I just cannot help myself. LOL!! ^^

    • Michele says:

Yeah!!!! Omo…I actually mildly crushed on Ryu Deok Hwan in Faith. I dunno, I was just digging on him as the king! I would be more than happy to renominate you and ask for that ahjussi romance! Yeah to the sageuk, too. I love them as well. Thank you again for the nom and for taking the time to answer my questions! <3

    • Michele says:

Love, love, love you!! Thank you for being my MBLAQ partner in squee! We WILL see the boys and we WILL noona sandwich G.O!!!

…i had fun randomly reading stuffs about you!…wow!…you are amazing Michele!…i am delighted to find out that you’re very first kdrama is Coffee Prince!…i love Choi-Han-Kyul in there sooooo MUCH!….what a nice tattoo you had there…i am thinking if i have the courage doing that one as well????….hahahaha..though it’s GY’s name in Hangul…

    Neomoo bogoshipeoyo…i love say

with the Korean phrases you learned i also love “Neomoo bogoshipeoyo”…i love saying that to all my friends… and “chincha” with aieshh!…LOL!

    congrats on this liebster nomination…<3<3<3

Haahahha!!! I think I overuse ‘aieeesh’ but I LOVE it!! Gong Yoo’s name tattooed in Hangul would be cool. 공유!! I am contemplating G.O for the other ankle or my wrist because that is only two characters as well. 지오 – nice and simple. ^^ Yes, Coffee Prince was my first and I think that was a wonderful first to be introduced to K-drama – don’t you? Choi HanKyul – so swoony. Gong Yoo played him so perfect. It was so easy to crush on him in that one! I am learning Korean so I can navigate Seoul better but also to be able to talk to my K-loves when I meet them. I think it is only fair that if I am on their turf that I should be speaking their language! Korean is fun and although challenging, I am loving learning it.

And yes, I have some goofy randomness to my facts, right? I mean…Jean-Claude Van Damme? How’d he get here?? LOL!!!
