Countdown to Seoul

KB Palace Seoul

I FINALLY get to leave ‘the swamp’ (New Orleans) today after a three-week stay and get back to what is really important:  planning my first visit to Seoul!  When I began my relationship with K-drama, K-pop, K-culture and anything K, my mind immediately had me dreaming of visiting the land of all things K.

The more drama I watched, the more I wanted to visit.  The characters became my friends and my family.  I  wanted to hang out with them, in their world, in their place:  Seoul.

Do I want to sit on that bench being showered with cherry blossoms while being kissed by Hyun Ki Joon?

Sure.

Or hang out at Coffee Prince sipping the latest brew while watching Choi Han Gyul and Go Eun Chan fall in love?

Yes, I would LOVE it!

Or how about help Kang Bo Ku-a through a hard night of drunken karaoke?

OMO!  Where do I sign up???!!

Seoul seems like a magical place to me where all of my K-dreams can become a reality.  I had planned to visit Seoul in October of this year as I have heard that October is a nice time visit.  Then I woke up one morning and had a crazy, crazy thought:  why don’t I push that visit up to July so that I can be at Rain’s MS discharge?!  I think everyone who has stopped by the blog can probably surmise that I have a thing or two for Rain.  o.~

That plan is about to become a reality when in 16 days from today I begin my Seoul-ful journey!  I hope to document every step of my visit here on the blog and provide pictures, video and anything else I can throw at you as I experience Seoul first hand.  And, on July 10th, I hope to share with you the very momentous occasion of Sgt. Jeung Ji Hoon’s honorable and most widely anticipated discharge from the ROK Army!

So, stay tuned…..there’s more to come!
